What a privilege being able to attend and support such a special event with Vicky Nisbet, Paul Harding, Jay Hallsworth and Matt Cornwell last Friday: Broxtowe Women's Project's Fundraising Gala Dinner. Colette Byrne, BWP Team and Chetwynd Barracks, thank you for putting on such a wonderful and inspiring evening. Broxtowe Women's Project was set up 23 years ago, the charity work tirelessly to make a difference to hundreds of women’s and children’s lives who have been directly impacted and damaged by domestic abuse. Thank you, Vicky Nisbet, for introducing us to such an important, incredibly powerful local Nottingham charity. This is just the start of Sabio’s journey with BWP, we will now be looking at ways we can help and support them further. It is estimated that on average 1 in 4 women and 1 in 6 men will experience domestic abuse at some stage in their lifetime. It can take many forms including physical, emotional, financial, psychological, sexual and “honour based” violence.
