About us
Leep1 is a self-advocacy organisation supporting adults with learning disabilities to speak up for themselves and have the lives they choose. Leep1: Leeds People First: is a Community Interest Company Vision Support people with disabilities to have a voice and independence so they feel valued, treated equally and fairly. Mission We want to transform society’s attitude to learning disabilities and get society to see that everyone has abilities. #AbilitiesNotDisabilities Our centre in Leeds provides classes and education in catering, health and fitness, arts and crafts, digital skills, visual arts, employment skills and social skills. Cafe Leep is a Community Cafe and training kitchen and we are very proud to be an approved Highfield Training Centre with award winning tutor. We support adults with learning disabilities to gain their NVQ qualifications in catering and offer industry standard work experience in our busy cafe which is open Monday - Friday. Our Cafe also offers a bespoke catering service supplying cakes and buffets to suit any budget or occassion.

Our Community #Advocacy Hub sessions in #Leeds are back up and running from next Tuesday! The first one of the year is at the Armley Community Hub, open from 10am-1pm. The Hubs are free to attend and our Community Advocates can help you to be heard with single issues such as accessing services. They can also help you to self-advocate, speaking up for yourself.
