New York - we are supporting a leading hedge fund with some key hires within the Primary Research & Alternative Data space. These seats support the Fundamental Equities group to generate alpha using alternative & proprietary data. Need one: fundamental research role, adding a qualitative edge to the research team. You'll likely come from a background conducting expert interviews (using expert networks like GLG, Guidepoint, Third Bridge etc.). You'll conduct industry wide and specific stock research, conduct channel checks/interviews and bring a qualitative (non modelling, non quantitative) skill set to the table. Need two: alternative data specialist - you'll have a background in sourcing alternative data (like credit card company data) from providers like Yipitdata, AlphaSense, Neudata, Earnest Analytics, M Science etc. and ideally will have helped a hedge fund/financial services firm implement these data insights for the purposes of supporting a fundamental equites strategy.
