Flu cases on the rise in Kent & Medway 🚨 We are seeing an increase in flu cases across Kent and Medway, putting extra pressure on our emergency departments. This service is for those who need it most – like people with severe chest pains, serious head injuries, loss of consciousness or breathing difficulties. To help keep everyone safe: ✅ Please avoid visiting our sites if you have cold or flu symptoms and a temperature. 😷 If you must visit and have cold or flu symptoms, please wear a mask (we will supply them). 🧼 Wash or sanitise your hands on entry and exit of our buildings. Please help us to protect emergency departments by using an alternative service if you have a less serious condition. For advice on local services, visit StopThinkChoose.co.uk.

New NHS data shows more people than ever before have a dementia diagnosis, with November figures showing 499,068 people in England have received a diagnosis. As you gather with family and friends for the festive period, look out for the common early symptoms of dementia. This can include emotional changes such as irritability, forgetfulness, struggling to follow a conversation or find the right word, or being confused about time and place. If you have noticed that someone has symptoms, encourage them to visit their GP for an assessment – the sooner someone is seen, the quicker the NHS can help. https://lnkd.in/ecNfUXAn
