Japanese knotweed canes don’t decay over the winter months, meaning we can continue to carry out site surveys throughout the seasons. Some species, however, such as Himalayan balsam and horsetail do compose over the colder months and therefore we would need to wait until the following Spring to accurately record the location and extent of the infestation #japaneseknotweed #survey #invasiveplants #jksl #invasivespecies #invasivespeciesremoval #japaneseknotweedremoval #himalayanbalsam #horsetail

The next six weeks are crucial for blood stocks this Christmas, which is why we're asking donors to book and keep appointments to ensure that the NHS has the blood it needs this Winter. Give the best gift of blood this Christmas, and you'll be saving or improving the lives of up to 3 people. We particularly need donations from B negative, O negative and Ro blood types, and there is an ongoing need for donors from Black, Asian or other minority ethnic communities.
