✨Last week, Sunrise Medical officially handed over a generous donation to the Sonnenkinder Parents' Initiative Handicap e.V. In addition to a financial contribution of €6,000, two paediatric products specifically designed for children's needs were presented: the Firefly Scooot and the Early Activity System (EAS). These products are intended to support the mobility and development of the youngest beneficiaries. 🤝 Representing Sunrise Medical at the handover were Carla Saraiva Mertens (she/her) (Director of Marketing and Sales Excellence), Daniel Wade (Chief Procurement and Sustainability Officer), and Kai Staudt (Sales Manager Paediatrics). The donations were ceremoniously handed over to the head of the toddler group and Ms. Maya Pinzolas, the fundraising project manager. With this donation, Sunrise Medical once again highlights its commitment to supporting and promoting initiatives that benefit children and their families. The company views partnerships with organisations like this as an essential part of its social responsibility and mission to enhance mobility and quality of life for people worldwide. 🌍 #SunriseMedical #CorporateSocialResponsibility ##PaediatricMobility

"In healthcare, the language we choose profoundly affects how we perceive, understand, and respond to our patients. For children with disabilities, and especially those with limited verbal skills, the term “behavioural issues” is often used to describe actions that may appear disruptive or difficult. Yet, this label risks reducing complex behaviours to simple “misbehaviour,” leading us to overlook the essential fact that all behaviour is communication." Last month our teams came together for a series of fun and engaging events to raise funds for the Northern Ireland Hospice, (Children's Hospice) a cause close to many of our colleagues hearts. Today we were delighted to drop off our donations to their fundraising offices in Belfast. Thanks to the incredible participation and contributions of our team, we’re delighted to have raised such vital funds, which will directly support the life-changing work of the NI Children’s Hospice. From the excitement of the Great Leckey Bake Off (who knew we had so many star bakers in our midst) to the competitive spirit of our sporting challenges, and the generosity shown in donating prizes and buying tickets for our raffle, our employees showcased creativity, teamwork, and kindness at every turn. A huge thank you to all our employees who participated, donated, and cheered on the efforts. Together, we are making an impact in our community and staying true to our mission of supporting children. Here’s to more opportunities to give back and create positive change! 💙 #CharityChallenge #SupportingChildren #GivingBack #TeamLeckey
