Introducing the James Cropper Christmas Card 2024 We are thrilled to unveil the James Cropper Christmas Card 2024, the first card produced under our new brand identity. This card is a testament to our brand essence of 'Making a Material Difference,' highlighting our unwavering commitment to world-class service, innovation, and sustainability. Technological Innovation and Sustainable Design The 2024 Christmas card is a blend of cutting-edge technology and sustainable practices. The design features a tree, symbolising Christmas, celebration, and a source of fibre, while the Cropper pigeon, a significant part of our history and heritage, is honoured as a decoration, celebrating our legacy. This intricate design is made possible through advanced in-house embossing capabilities and printing techniques that ensure precision and quality. The geometric pinhead emboss applied to our Forest Green card paper elevate our brand essence and the tactile experience of the card. We offer a choice of more than 30 different embossing patterns, including textile weaves, leathers, rippling effects, and intricate geometrics in grid, spot, or linear formations to further enhance our premium papers and boards. Bespoke patterns can also be developed if required. Premium Materials Printed on our new company colours—Forest Green 270gsm with a Pinhead Emboss and Heritage White 120gsm—this card not only looks stunning but also reflects our dedication to sustainability. The materials used are sourced responsibly, ensuring minimal environmental impact while maintaining the highest standards of quality. A Token of Gratitude This card is more than just a festive greeting; it is a small token of our gratitude for our customers' continued support over the past year. It embodies our appreciation and our commitment to fostering strong, lasting relationships. Acknowledging Our Team A huge thank you to everyone involved in the production, organisation, creation, and distribution of the cards this year. Your hard work and dedication are truly appreciated. • This week marks European Hydrogen Week, highlighting the transformative role of hydrogen in decarbonizing the energy supply chain. To recognise, James Cropper hosted a Lunch & Learn for colleagues from James Cropper and James Cropper Paper & Packaging. Led by CTO Dr. David Hodgson, the session covered hydrogen technologies, the "hydrogen rainbow," and the role of our materials in advancing PEM electrolysis, culminating in a hands-on electrolyser-building activity. As a business James Cropper is committed to the advancement of hydrogen, and in particular helping to make hydrogen generation technologies such as PEM electrolysis more efficient and affordable. Our Resillion™ coating technology exemplifies our commitment to making hydrogen generation more efficient and sustainable. If you are visiting the European Hydrogen Week conference in Brussels look out for Jack Williams, CEng, our Business Development Manager who is also attending this week. #pemelectrolysis #greenhydrogen #advancedmaterials #EUH2week

  • Extend the lifespan, integrity, and resilience of aerocomposites with our advanced, lightweight nonwovens. Engineered for seamless integration, they provide a robust, uniformly distributed thermoplastic layer that significantly enhances fracture toughness and structural durability by up to 430%. Traditional composites can exhibit low fracture toughness and be prone to interlaminar failure, this compromises the mechanical integrity of the structure and is considered a dominant life-limiting failure mode. In aerocomposites this delamination can be caused by damaging events during service, for example, bird strike events or large hailstones, so fracture toughness must be considered in the design process to ensure both safe application and prolonged life of the aircraft. Our range of PPS, PEI and PI veils have been proven to enhance fracture toughness and part durability. They are lightweight (from 5 g/m²), easy to handle and are incorporated directly into the composite lay-up, providing a consistent and uniformly distributed thermoplastic layer. When interleaved between the reinforcement plies before resin infusion they prevent the formation of a resin only layer which is more susceptible to mechanical failure. • At James Cropper we pride ourselves on our ability to adapt our process, materials and capability to meet our customers’ requirements. A recent example of this is when we were challenged with rapidly doubling our coating capacity in order to enable one of our customers, an electrolyser manufacturer, to meet their increased production target. In the process, our Resillion™ advanced coating technology was used to coat to key electrolyser components to maximise system efficiency and part durability. The production scale up was successfully implemented over a tight time scale, not only delivering a 100% increase in capacity, but also ensuring that high product quality was maintained and stringent performance criteria met. Read more about the case study here: https://lnkd.in/eYp_Yr2p. Or contact us at enquiries@cropper.com to discuss our Resillion coating technology and how we can help with your technical challenges. #advancedmaterials #resillion #pemelectrolysers
