🌟 Exciting News: Angela Harrison Featured in Financial Accountant! 🌟 We’re thrilled to see Angela Harrison, Audit and Accounts Partner at JS, sharing her insights on the transition of the Financial Reporting Council (FRC) to the Audit, Reporting, and Governance Authority (ARGA) in The Institute of Financial Accountants. Angela highlights the critical need for ARGA to have the resources and agility to act as a strong, independent regulator, emphasising that its success hinges on prioritising audit quality and holding firms accountable where necessary. She also underscores the importance of transparency, suggesting reforms such as upgraded director appointment processes and extending Public Interest Entity (PIE) status to large private companies. These steps, Angela notes, will bolster trust in corporate governance and encourage investment in major businesses. The establishment of ARGA is a key milestone in reshaping corporate governance, and we’re proud to have Angela’s voice contribute to this conversation.
