The objects of ISTA are to encourage, assist, participate in and foster the activities of companies and persons engaged in the international iron and steel trade. Formed in London in 1969 by UK-based steel trading companies, today ISTA’s membership of some 90 companies comes from across the UK and Europe. Supporting the trade, associate members represent almost all areas in the transactional life of a steel trading deal and include shipping companies, marine and credit insurers and law firms.

A heartfelt thank-you to all the members and guests who joined us at the ISTA lunch on Friday, 6th December 2024. It was incredible to see such a vibrant gathering, with over 550 attendees, making this event a resounding success. We were especially delighted to welcome both familiar faces and new ones, as this sense of community is what truly makes ISTA special. Your support and presence mean so much, and we hope you enjoyed the afternoon as much as we did.
