IHS Cameroon are pleased to have announced the completion of their ICT training program in partnership with the Orange Digital Centre. This program, aimed at fostering professional development and entrepreneurship, helped equip 50 participants aged 17 to 28, with essential ICT skills, ranging from web to digital graphic design. During the handover ceremony last week, certificates were distributed to all students, in the presence of representatives from the Orange Digital Center and SOS Chilldren’s Village. This initiative is part of a broader Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between IHS Cameroon and SOS Children’s Village, signed in August as part of their Youth Digital Capacity Building program. Through this collaboration, IHS Cameroon is pleased to support the UN SDG Goal 8, which focuses on promoting sustained, inclusive, and sustainable economic growth for all. #BeyondtheTowers #TowersofStrength

To help bolster the operational efficiency and service delivery capabilities of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS), IHS Nigeria donated technological gadgets and operational equipment to the Service. This donation comprises of passport readers, computer sets, high-definition cameras, and thumbprint readers, to support individual identification processes, biometric data capture, and data storage for passport holders. The equipment was formally presented to the Comptroller General, Kemi Nanna Nandap by IHS Nigeria's SVP & Chief Corporate Services Officer, Dapo Otunla, on December 10, at the NIS headquarters in Abuja. #TowersofStrength #BeyondtheTowers

Since 2022, IHS Brazil has invested in a structured program that offers robust training pathways for natural science and math teachers in Brazilian public schools. The two-year program offers a combination of interdisciplinary teaching with hands-on methodologies, emphasizing key skills such as teamwork, critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving. Following its success in Rio de Janeiro and Pará, the STEM Brasil project has expanded to Bezerros/PE, marking the third initiative sponsored by IHS Brazil. IHS Nigeria’s CEO, Mohamad Darwish, and SVP & Chief Corporate Services Officer, Dapo Otunla, both received industry achievement awards while IHS Nigeria received a special industry recognition award. Also recognized at the event with an industry achievement award was Olufemi Arosanyin, CEO, IHS Cameroon. Mallam Bashir Ahmed El-Rufai, Independent Non-Executive Director, IHS Holding Limited, was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award.   These industry accolades are a testament to the leadership and dedication that inspire us every day at IHS. IHS Brazil are proud to celebrate the graduation of AfroGames 2024 cohort and three years of their partnership with Grupo Cultural AfroReggae, a local NGO dedicated to the social development of vulnerable communities. Sponsored by #IHSBrazil, the two ICT centers in Complexo da Maré—one of Rio de Janeiro’s largest favelas—offer game coding and English classes, alongside professional training in e-gaming to over 400 students.
