As part of our Churchill 150th Birthday celebrations, we hosted an extraordinary evening culminating a month-long tribute to our namesake's momentous birthday. We were joined by Winston Churchill's family, ambassadors, and our closest partners and friends of Hyatt Regency London – The Churchill. The evening began with an exclusive Paul Wright art exhibition, where Megan Thompson from THOMPSONS GALLERY shared the inspiration behind the 'A Celebration of Sir Winston Churchill' exhibition on behalf of the artist. We were deeply honoured to hear Randolph Churchill, Winston Churchill's great-grandson, share reflections on his great-grandfather's legacy, while celebrating his great-grandmother Clementine Churchill and the remarkable women who shaped Sir Winston's life, reminding us of the strength behind the man. Katherine Carter, Historian and Property Curator of Chartwell House and author of 'Churchill's Citadel,' delivered the keynote speech, sharing fascinating tales of Churchill, Clementine, and their cherished home, bringing their world vividly to life for our guests. Guests enjoyed Champagne Pol Roger—Churchill's favourite—our signature Churchill-inspired Dundee cocktail, and delicious canapes featuring some of Churchill's favourite dishes, all while soaking in the atmosphere of The Churchill Bar and our Winter at Chartwell Terrace. It was a night that perfectly blended history, storytelling, and celebration, a fitting tribute to Britain's most iconic leader. Last week, our team was privileged to visit St. Mary’s Hospital to decorate the Cosmic Unit and Cosmic House for Christmas. This heartwarming tradition is part of our annual Christmas campaign, where we support Cosmic, a charity dedicated to supporting the children’s and neonatal intensive care units at St Mary’s & Queen Charlotte’s Hospital by helping patients and their families. In addition to spreading festive cheer with decorations, we brought Christmas cakes lovingly decorated by our clients and partners and delicious cookies and hot chocolate for parents and NHS staff. As part of our annual Christmas charity campaign with Cosmic, we are raising funds to gift families the beloved book 'Guess How Much I Love You'. This cherished book is given to parents upon arrival on the ward, allowing them to bond and share special moments with their children.
