We recently had the pleasure of hosting 30 enthusiastic pupils from Bramford Primary School at Church View, near Ipswich. Our eager visitors got a first-hand look at the exciting world of homebuilding and even saw our diggers in action. They all received a giant pink octopus, courtesy of Octopus Energy, shining a light on our Zero Bills homes – homes that guarantee zero energy bills for 10 years. Thanks go to Daniel Coutts, Site Manager, for his patience and hospitality, and to Edward Bathgate, Pre-Development Manager who won the children over with his brick wall building and explanation of swift bricks. The verdict? The pupils declared it their ‘best trip ever’ and even shared their visions of what homes would be like in 2050.

On this Remembrance Day, we honour those who have served and reflect on our commitment to the Armed Forces community.    We remain a signatory to the Armed Forces Covenant and a keen supporter of the Armed Forces past and present.    One of our colleagues Melvyn Gilmour is a former Royal Marine Commando who joined us in 2019 through our 'Armed Forces Programme'. Melvyn has progressed from trainee Assistant Site Manager to managing a £50 million project, demonstrating how military training can translate into valuable skills in construction management.   On April 21, 2025, Melvyn will be running the 2025 TCS London Marathon to raise funds for the Royal British Legion. This vital organisation helps those who have served by supporting individuals facing homelessness, financial difficulties, and isolation. As he prepares for this significant challenge, Melvyn shares, “Training for the marathon is both challenging and rewarding. I’m proud to support the Royal British Legion, an organisation that does so much for those who have served.
