How was your office Christmas get together? Ours was a blast! We took a moment to escape the office, don our best outfits and celebrate what has been a great year! The Secret Santa gifts were also brilliant! Our present this year had to start with the same letter as the recipient. What was yours?

This year, instead of sending Christmas cards Hive HR Solutions will be donating to our local partner charity Sussex Nightstop. This amazing charity helps young people aged 16-25 facing homelessness by providing them a safe night’s sleep. With Autumn comes coughs and colds. Businesses will inevitably have employee absences, but do you have a sickness absence policy to support managing these absences as well as setting out the expectations of your employees? The policy should inform employees:  🐝 HOW to notify they are sick.  🐝 WHO they need to notify.  🐝 WHEN they are expected to contact the above person by. 🐝 WHAT the consequences are if they don't. It should also explain what documentation is required when an individual is sick, which include self-certification and FIT notes.
