With Autumn comes coughs and colds. Businesses will inevitably have employee absences, but do you have a sickness absence policy to support managing these absences as well as setting out the expectations of your employees? The policy should inform employees: 🐝 HOW to notify they are sick. 🐝 WHO they need to notify. 🐝 WHEN they are expected to contact the above person by. 🐝 WHAT the consequences are if they don't. It should also explain what documentation is required when an individual is sick, which include self-certification and FIT notes.
