Lung cancer is responsible for more deaths than any other form of cancer in the UK. Despite the implementation of a new national Targeted Lung Health Check Programme, reliable diagnosis of early-stage lung cancers remains a challenge. Working with the South East London Cancer Alliance and pioneering surgeons from Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust, we've helped to develop patient and professional information about a groundbreaking new diagnostic procedure, navigational bronchoscopy. Navigational bronchoscopy offers a number of advantages over current diagnostic approaches: 🔍 Accurate identification of potentially cancerous nodules at a significantly earlier stage, allowing for treatment to begin more quickly 🩹 Lower risk of complications 👍 Improved patient experience compared to more invasive diagnostic procedures Find the professional resources here: https://lnkd.in/ePR9Y2pg And patient information here: https://lnkd.in/e2UGecwm
