The Spanish government has ordered 25 additional #Eurofighter! Known as the Halcon II programme, the order will cover the delivery of 21 latest-generation single-seat and four twin-seat Eurofighter aircraft to replace part of the F-18 fleet operated by the Ejército del Aire. A new £133m contract to develop our Striker II helmet from the nations behind the Eurofighter Typhoon is expected to secure more than 200 highly-skilled UK jobs. Airbus has just announced the appointment of a new #CHRO. Carmen-Maja Rex will succeed Thierry Baril, effective April 1, 2025. In this role, she will serve as a member of the Executive Committee and report to Airbus CEO Guillaume Faury. The new-elected CHRO currently holds the position of Group Chief Human Resources Officer at Heidelberg Materials, a leading global manufacturer of building materials. Her career began as a consultant at Accenture in 1999, followed by a period with the United Nations starting in 2003. She later joined Siemens in 2010, holding various leadership roles in Human Resources before assuming her current position at Heidelberg Materials in 2020, overseeing a global workforce of 51,000 employees across more than 50 countries. We extend our warmest congratulations to Carmen-Maja Rex on this important appointment.
