Spreading holiday cheer at our Winter Market! 🎄 This week, we hosted our annual Winter Market in partnership with The Felix Project, and what a great day it was! Customers from across our communities attended to collect fresh food, enjoy refreshments, and connect with neighbours. Children had a blast with games and a lucky dip, spreading smiles and festive cheer. We also delivered fresh food to our Enhanced Housing Management Schemes, reaching even more customers. A huge thank you to everyone who attended and to The Felix Project for helping us make a difference in our communities.

Yesterday, we marked the "topping out" of Regent's View, our new development in Bethnal Green, alongside St. William (Berkeley Group Plc) and other partners. This project will bring 84 affordable homes to our community. Regent’s View will also feature: · A newly created 1.7-acre public park along the canal. · New commercial and community spaces to enhance the area. We are proud to work with St William to provide high-quality, affordable housing in East London. A huge thank you to everyone involved for their hard work and dedication to this incredible project!

Our recent ‘Tea and Talk’ sessions on the Isle of Dogs and in Hackney were a success, bringing together customers from across our communities to connect and share their experiences with us. Over the past year, we’ve been hard to improve our services and reaffirm our commitment to our communities. It’s been great to see so many customers engaging with us and sharing positive feedback. One customer shared: “Having this level of engagement in our community makes a difference.”

Yesterday marked the end of Black History Month, and it's the perfect time to reflect on our celebrations here at Gateway. This year's theme, Reclaiming Narratives, inspired us to engage in meaningful discussions and activities. Throughout the month, colleagues shared their stories about what it means to reclaim their narrative, fostering a deeper understanding of our diverse community. We also enjoyed a lively quiz highlighting Black pioneers in housing and beyond, such as Lara Oyedele, Kwajo Tweneboa, Abi Gbago, and more! We also held a creative Heritage and Paint session that allowed everyone to express their heritage through art. It was a fantastic month of connection, learning, and delicious food! It was great to see so many colleagues take part in honouring our community's rich history.

Recently, customers at Vic Johnson House, one of our Enhanced Management Schemes, enjoyed a delicious fish and chips meal provided fresh by Gateway. It was a wonderful treat, and we're happy to hear that everyone enjoyed the hot meal. Bringing small moments of joy to our community is always a pleasure. We love seeing our residents happy and creating memories together over shared meals.
