We’re proud to support The Adebowale Commission's latest report, written by Social Enterprise UK, which provides an important update on the state of the social investment landscape. Read the report here: https://lnkd.in/ePeughMk
Our chair Lord Victor Adebowale founded the Commission on Social Investment, which published a landmark 2022 report on the state of the market and how it could better enable the growth of social enterprises. Almost three years on, our latest report assesses progress against the Commission’s recommendations – and while there has been some progress, major concerns remain. The new report calls for action from government and sector institutions to tackle inequalities and better fulfil potential, to ultimately better support communities and environments across the UK. Read our full report on our website or follow the link in the comments.

We’re delighted that funding from the Fusion21 Foundation and Stonewater is enabling Longleigh Foundation to conduct crucial research into the role social housing can play in providing affordable homes in rural areas. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/e89gd9CS
🚨 Exciting Opportunity: Help Shape the Future of Affordable Rural Housing! The Longleigh Foundation is launching a vital research initiative to explore how social housing can provide much-needed affordable homes in rural areas, and... 🔎 ... our search for a research partner is now live! This project will delve into: ✅ Assessing the suitability of existing rural social housing stock. ✅ Identifying changes needed to overcome barriers. ✅ Outlining key recommendations for government action to support flourishing rural communities. As Aileen Edmunds, Longleigh Foundation’s Chief Executive, explains: “Unlocking the solutions to affordable rural homes will enable families to remain in their communities, safeguard vital support networks, and strengthen local economies. Affordable housing ensures schools, shops, and social hubs like pubs thrive, reducing isolation and shielding vulnerable households from disconnection and poverty.” If you or an organisation you know would be interested in responding to this research brief, visit our website www. https://lnkd.in/eiWZMDTJ to learn more and download the application pack. We also extend our heartfelt thanks to Stonewater and the Fusion21 Foundation for their invaluable support in making this research possible. Together, let’s create a future where rural communities thrive! 🌱 #AffordableHousing #SocialHousing #RuralDevelopment #ResearchOpportunity
