Supporting people affected by sexual violence and domestic abuse.

About us

First Light is a charity for anyone who is experiencing or has experienced domestic abuse or sexual violence. We provide a range of support in Devon, Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, Swindon & Wiltshire, and across England & Wales. Anyone can be affected by domestic abuse and sexual violence, and we support people of all ages and genders, including people with a disability and members of the LGBTQ+ community. We’re independent of statutory agencies, including the police, and every year we help thousands of adults and children to lead safer lives, free from violence and abuse.

  • As we come to the end of 2024 and look ahead to 2025, we want to take a moment to reflect on the year we've shared together. With your invaluable help, we have made incredible strides in raising awareness and providing support to those in need. From fundraising and supporting our campaigns to volunteering and working together, every step has been a testament to the power of community. None of this would have been possible without the dedication of our teams, volunteers, donors, commissioners, trustees, charity partners, and staff. Together, we've amplified the voices of those who need it most, and we're just getting started. #FirstLight #Plymouth #Devon #Cornwall #IslesofScilly #Swindon #Wiltshire

If you would like to turn this feature off on your iPhone, please follow the steps below: 👉 Go to Settings 👉Select Apps 👉 Click on Phone 👉 Scroll down to Live Voicemail 👉 Toggle the switch to off (it will turn from green to grey) We will also be taking additional steps to ensure discretion and clear transcription of our voicemails.
