Meet Zodi Tagedini, Sr. Solutions Engineer at Fastly! We asked Zodi to tell us about an accomplishment he is most proud of while working at Fastly? Zodi responded that it is split between helping clients learn about the NGWAF, as well as developing relationships with them along the way. Tech is tech, but people and the real connections we make with them carry further in his opinion. Accomplishing both is a real win scenario and one that he strives to meet on each engagement. Oh! And publishing his first children’s book! That was pretty awesome too! Zodi is a Fastlyan for all seasons! Thank you Zodi for all that you do for Fastly and congratulations on authoring your first book! Want to work in a diverse and fun community? Check out our open roles: https://lnkd.in/dz_S2NPk

We're counting down the days until Netflix's live stream of the Texans/Ravens game and Beyonce's half-time performance on Christmas Day. We believe that if anybody can nail this, Netflix's engineering talent can. But we know that this stuff is hard. At Fastly, we’ve helped deliver some of the most-streamed live halftime performances of the last several years and have learned some lessons along the way. So, we wanted to share a bit about what we’ve observed, and what tends to work in these kinds of massive live Internet moments. Read Anil Dash’s blog to learn more: https://lnkd.in/guPhHveD

We all know and love Duolingo, they have 13 million monthly active learners after all. But they were also becoming too popular with threat actors – their team was facing a significant uptick in DDoS attacks. Insert Fastly's Next Gen WAF- providing that green owl's team the developer productivity, reliability, and resilience (and peace of mind) that they needed. In the words of Matt Brandman, Senior Engineering Manager on Duolingo's Platform Security team, "The first time we blocked a DDoS attack—39 million requests in five seconds—and no one noticed, at that moment I felt the organization accepting the trust."
