The EXCEED Trust was founded in 2008 to make a lasting difference to the lives of children marginalised by circumstances. This month, we’ve remained as true as ever to our ethos, through our continued support of two Aberdeen-based charities. 🎄 We all know the importance of being able to provide gifts for our kids at Christmas. Via our long-standing relationship with Home-Start Aberdeen, we have purchased Christmas presents for 16 children across nine families and provided financial assistance with energy costs. 🎄 And once again, it has been a privilege to donate over £2,000 of essential food bank items to Community Food Initiatives North East (CFINE). If you’re looking for a North East charity to support this Christmas, can we suggest you check out each of these outstanding organisations, whose commitment and hard work has such a positive impact on the lives of local individuals and families throughout the year.

We take our responsibility as an energy leader seriously and part of that responsibility is the support of research undertaken by our Head of Performance Improvement Coaching, Dr Tim Wigham. His recently-published DBA reinforces that frontline rig leadership plays a critical role in addressing inefficiency, especially in the context of an industry in transition. Tim’s research findings demonstrate that investment in offshore leadership selection, non-technical skills training, and coaching, is essential for enhanced safety and efficiency, which in turn will positively contribute towards a sustainable Energy Transition. Well Site Supervisor, Kenneth Paulo, has been active in the oilfield service industry since he graduated 15 years ago.   He focused in on Managed Pressure Drilling early in his career, with a role as MPD Workshop Coordinator, which gave him an encyclopaedic understanding of the specialised equipment we utilise.   Having been out in the field since 2012, Kenneth’s role has taken him across the globe, and this has continued since he joined us two years ago.   “EXCEED MPR is all about quality over quantity. We are pleased to announce the official launch of a collaborative agreement with ocean services provider, DeepOcean, to supply vessel-based well plugging and abandonment services to the global decommissioning market.    Characterised by a “one team” approach, the single contract solution offers a turnkey service including equipment, planning, execution and close-out, leaving a full audit trail to ensure optimum repurpose and reuse of retrieved assets.    The partnership commenced with a recently-completed, agile multi-well vessel-based P&A campaign on behalf of Serica Energy plc, which resulted in significant time and cost-savings, and reduced CO2  impact, when compared with rig-based P&A activity.   Bart Van De Laar, Exceed’s Head of Decommissioning said: “By pairing DeepOcean’s diverse global fleet and vessel management capabilities with EXCEED's specialist range of well decommissioning expertise, the international decom sector benefits from a world-class vessel-based well P&A service.
