We were delighted to meet with Baroness Merron yesterday for a roundtable with patient groups and other epilepsy charities to discuss the recommendations in the Hughes Report for those harmed by valproate. This situation deserves as much profile as the pelvic mesh scandal and we want to see justice across all four nations for those whose lives have been severely impacted. We look forward to working with the Baroness and her team to ensure the redress becomes reality and families affected can move forward with their lives.

📣 We want to hear the experiences of people who have epilepsy, but also live with a pet dog 🐾 Support Dogs are working with Epilepsy Action to run what we believe is the first ever national survey of dog-ownership amongst people living with epilepsy. The aim is to better understand the impact having a dog – both negative and positive – can have on a person that has the condition, and on the welfare of the dogs. 💬 Ann Richardson-Greaves, Director of Services at Epilepsy Action said “We’re thrilled to be teaming up with Support Dogs to launch a groundbreaking survey aimed at better understanding the impact of epilepsy on dog owners. The initiative dives into the unique experience of those who live with epilepsy and share their lives with a dog” 🔗To take part in the survey please visit https://lnkd.in/eUeVHsN8

A special congratulations to the management team who have been working hard on achieving their ILM Leadership and Management Qualifications at level 5 and Level 7. Well done Chantal Spittles, David Thornton, Kathryn Hughes PhD, Tom Shillito, Janet Paterson and Daniel Jennings who achieved their level 5 certifications. And to 2 of our senior leadership team Ann Richardson and Stephanie Smith-Crawshaw who achieved their level 7. We are all ready and keen to keep learning in 2025!
