We exist to promote the idea and practice of the real ‘3Rs’ of waste reduction, reuse and recycling, and the wider concepts of resource efficiency and sustainable consumption. Make a Material Difference in the Heart of Greater Manchester with our new Share offering: www.emergerecycling.co.uk Grown from a voluntary initiative in 1996, “East Manchester Environment & Resources Group Emerge”, EMERGE continues to be based in the post-industrial heartlands of East Manchester on New Smithfield Wholesale Market. The Group currently employs 33 local people, has over 45 regular volunteers and work placements, and as an open membership entity, has a wide range of individual and organisational supporters. EMERGE provides a range of unique, customised and flexible options to meet your business needs. As well as enabling your organisation to be fully compliant with environmental and data-protection legislation, by using EMERGE you can rest assured that we recycle to the max whilst helping you reduce waste and attendant disposal costs. Additionally, we can assist your CSR goals by adding value through our charitable works*. We collect pretty much everything you might want to dispose of; we can even empty the bins in your office so that you don’t have to! Alternatively, we will collect your waste materials from a central location; please talk to us to help you identify the options which best suit your company’s needs. Materials we collect for recycling (or reuse where possible): Confidential waste for secure shredding (Member of the BSIA & BSEN15713 assured) Paper, Cardboard. Metal cans/Tins, Plastic bottles (and some other plastics, like film), Glass Fluorescent light bulbs Redundant IT & Electrical Equipment – we can also offer secure destruction for computer waste Batteries, CDs and Mobile phones Printer toner cartridges (the recyclable ones) Wood waste from construction sites – our team are CSCS compliant We can also provide services for: Residual waste Food waste

Our first share offer helped us raise the bar on recycling and reuse locally. ♻️ In our depot, we invested in equipment: shredder, balers, conveyors, and safety equipment. 🚛 Logistics: we bought a bin wagon, and we used £30,000 for working capital. 👨🎓 We employed a graduate sales team, created a purpose-built Touch Wood workshop and yard area. Each one of these created the opportunity to expand our work, our team, and grow our impact.
