2024 has been a whirlwind year for Ember Mental Health! 🎉 From our incredible Partner Innovators reaching major milestones and presenting at international conferences, to meaningful in-person connections during project visits, to showcasing our work at the Bloomsbury Exhibition in #London, and supporting six Innovators to strengthen operations and expand community care – it’s been a year of growth, collaboration, and impact. We also had the privilege of reviewing 1800+ applications from over 80 countries for our next cohort, a testament to the global movement toward community-driven mental health care. Here’s to continuing this journey of transforming #mentalhealth together in 2025! 🙌

At the prestigious 55th Annual General & Scientific Meeting of the Association of Psychiatrists in Nigeria, holding in the historic city of Ilorin, Kwara State— a momentous occasion took place as Dr. Timothy Adebowale was honored with the inaugural “Dr. Akolawole Ayonrinde Award for Outstanding Contribution to Community Mental Health Care in Nigeria.” This award stands as a tribute to the late Dr. Akolawole Ayonrinde, a pioneering force in community mental health services in Ogun State. Dr. Akolawole Ayonrinde devoted his life to the noble mission of enhancing community mental health services, establishing a foundation for a more compassionate and inclusive approach to mental health care across Nigeria.
