Celebrating a 2024 Highlight: Restoring Habitats for Monarch Butterflies 🦋 This year, we united communities from NYC to LA to support monarch butterflies—pollinators critical to our ecosystems and food systems. Together, we took action to combat habitat loss and give these incredible butterflies a chance to thrive. 🌆 In New York City, over 600 seed bombs were made and scattered across parks and urban spaces, planting nectar-rich wildflowers to sustain monarchs during their migration. In partnership with hypha network, chilli, Ancient Future Labs, and Nowadays On Earth. 🌴 In Los Angeles, we planted a milkweed corridor with our friends at The Nest Hollywood, providing the only plant where monarchs can lay their eggs and a vital resource for their survival. Why does this matter? Monarchs migrate up to 3,000 miles every year, but habitat loss is pushing them to the brink. By creating biodiverse habitats in our cities, we’re building critical waypoints to support their journey. Without milkweed, monarchs can’t reproduce. Urban habitats can make all the difference in their survival. 🎉 Thank you to everyone who joined us! Your efforts are proof that small actions can lead to big change. Let’s keep this momentum going in 2025! 🌱 Interested in making a difference? Learn how to restore habitats in your community at earthed.co.

  • We’re facing an ecological crisis. You know it. I know it. But here’s the real problem: it’s not that people don’t care. We don’t believe that for a second. It’s that people are READY to act, but they’re held back because the tools they need are out of reach, behind walls built by inaccessibility, lack of resources, and lack of connection. Imagine that: willing hands, aching to regenerate the world around us, but stopped by a lack of skills, funding, and networks. And in the meantime, we’re watching our ecosystems collapse. But I want you to hold onto that image of willing hands. Because that’s where we come in. Here’s The Opportunity: This #GivingTuesday, we’re raising £30,000—and thanks to our generous Giving Circle, every pound you donate will be matched up to £30,000. Together, we can turn £30k into £60k to fuel a global restoration movement. What Your Donation Will Accomplish: Your support will ensure nature skills stay free and accessible, empowering communities worldwide to: 🌱 Learn the tools to restore ecosystems and biodiversity. 🌿 Build a global network of changemakers. 🌍 Access courses on regenerative agriculture, pollinator planting, and Indigenous land stewardship. This is our moment to rise together and empower the willing hands ready to heal the planet.🌱 Thank you for standing with us. Together, we can make this vision a reality. P.S. Your donation is tax-deductible, and many employers offer corporate matching programs to triple your impact. Check with your company today!

  • Tomorrow, Earthed's Giving Tuesday campaign will begin, to raise £30,000 in essential charity funding, and we’re thrilled to announce that a generous member of our Giving Circle will be match-funding every donation, and that in pledges we're almost halfway to our target! 👉 Click here to donate: https://lnkd.in/dhTmCWPe By giving, your contribution will go twice as far in supporting our mission to make nature restoration accessible to all, bringing our total fundraising potential to £60,000. We invite you to donate to Earthed this December - together, we can restore our world. Here’s how your support will make a difference: • Keep Earthed Free for All: Over 10,000 members from 102 countries are already learning to grow food and restore ecosystems—for free.  • Grow to 40,000 Members in 2025: With your help, we’ll empower even more people to take action for nature. • Launch New Courses: We’re ready to release impactful courses on regenerative agriculture, food forests, planting for pollinators, water restoration, and Indigenous land stewardship—but we need final funds to bring these to life. How You Can Help: • Donate: Whatever feels right to you—every bit helps and will be matched! • Share: Spread the word with your networks and friends: https://lnkd.in/dMyvU4a3 We invite you to donate to Earthed this December - together, we can restore our world. #GivingTuesday #Crowdfunder #Earthed #WeAreEarthed #GenerationRestoration

  • The biggest barrier to climate action isn’t awareness—it’s access. People everywhere want to make a difference, but many are held back by a lack of practical skills, resources, and community support. That’s where Earthed comes in! We’re on a mission to break down those barriers by keeping nature skills FREE for everyone. From learning how to restore soil to planting forests, we believe everyone deserves the tools to heal the planet—and together, we can make it happen. To keep nature education free and ignite global restoration, we’re raising £30,000 by the end of the year—and every donation is MATCHED up to £30k. That means your gift goes TWICE as far! 💚 Let’s grow this movement together—donate today and help us give everyone the skills to restore the earth. Together, we’re unstoppable. 🌟 https://lnkd.in/dMyvU4a3

CoFounder of Earthed & Advaya 🌍 Removing the obstacles to a citizen-led global nature restoration movement | Expanding consciousness for systemic transformation within and without ✨

It was a joy to co-host the #RestorationDay for the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration at COP16 Colombia. We dived into the power of partnership, tracking progress, people-centered approaches and scaling on-the-ground finance in order to galvanise momentum towards the 2030 nature restoration targets. Back in 2020, Ruby and I read one of the first UN Decade white papers just weeks after having dreamed up the initial idea for an open-access, bioregionally specific, skill-oriented learning platform -- now Earthed! It gave us a framework to work with. More importantly, it gave us the stats that made it impossible for us not to turn the ambitious idea into reality! 😅 Today, we are now proud implementing partners to the Decade and feel galvanised by the incredible network all driving #GenerationRestoration It was a huge honour to learn from and meet some of my nature restoration heroes: Society for Ecological Restoration (SER), World Resources Institute, WWF-Brasil, Valerie Hickey, Taruhim Miranda Cardoso Quadros, Ann-Kathrin Neureuther, Leo Murphy, Sarah Nelson, Matheus Couto, Nature Positive Universities, FAO, Mrinalini Rai, Women4Biodiversity, George D. Gann, CERP, Bethanie Walder, Fabiola Zerbini, Jamal Annagylyjova, Yelena Finegold, IKEA, IKEA Foundation, Julian Fox, Khalil Walji, Natalia Alekseeva, Florian Claeys Thank you everyone! #COP16 #BiodiversityCOP #Biodiversity #NatureRestoration #EcosystemRestoration #EcologicalRestoration #UNDecadeOnEcosystemRestoration

Nature Connection Guide, Women's Work Facilitator, Community Builder and Regenerator Stewarding an Eco-Centric World,

Part of my work with Earthed is stewarding our community pollinator programme which is essentially a six month peer to peer support group for those wanting to resource and enable community responses to the ecological crisis centred on ecosystem restoration. Each month we have a monthly hub call where one participant from the programme shares a little about some of the community pollination and projects they have been part of. It brings me so much joy to be working with such an incredible group of people all who are committed to our restoring our planet. Back in October Maya Ouwehand shared some of the experimental programme she was part of producing focused on building a regenerative society in one day. One of my takeaways was how so much revolved around food - the food we eat and choose to buy has immense effects on the environment, not only this but how we choose to prepare and eat our food has the potential to bring people together and rebuild culture where we have found ourselves separated. Then in yesterdays monthly hub call Katie Baldock shared her journey towards permaculture and how sharing her story and passion has led her towards taken on a small patch of land to tend to, restoring, growing food and bringing people together. If you like the sound of something like this. You can read more about the programme here: https://lnkd.in/eN_exTPK - Next round will start in March! Get in touch if your curious. x
