We kicked off the season with Christmas Jumper Day, raising funds for Save the Children UK, and later came together as a team for our annual Christmas party, celebrating the achievements of the past 12 months. This innovative range combines solar power with grid backup, ensuring reliable, year-round lighting, even during the UK’s darker winter months. The launch marked another step forward in our commitment to sustainable and forward-thinking lighting solutions. We were also excited to showcase our solar innovations at two major events: the HEA Conference & Exhibition in Wales and the Salon des Maires in Paris. These exhibitions gave us the opportunity to connect with customers and highlight how DW Windsor is lighting the way to a more sustainable future. 2 0 2 4⠀R E W I N D⠀/⠀S E P T E M B E R - In September, we completed the restoration of the historic tramline columns on Prestbury Road in Cheltenham, preserving a piece of local heritage. Our Restoration Team carefully restored four original columns, retaining their intricate designs while enhancing their functionality with our Ely A lanterns. These lanterns bring modern LED technology and CMS control to this conservation area, ensuring both efficiency and respect for its historical charm. 2 0 2 4⠀R E W I N D⠀/⠀A U G U S T - In August, we shone a spotlight on the Newport Station Bridge, a new pedestrian and cycle bridge in Wales. Working with Grimshaw and Arup, DW Windsor supplied 500 meters of our Garda illuminated handrail to provide accessible, secure lighting for the bridge’s ramps and stairs. Our team also developed a custom solution, integrating LED modules directly into the structure to provide illumination on the main deck without handrails. Working with Mott MacDonald, DW Windsor supplied Kirium Pro luminaires to provide effective, energy-efficient lighting for both the road and bridge, ensuring safety for all users. To retain the original ambiance along the A47, we collaborated with Nichia Corporation on a unique 1800K LED solution that mimics High Pressure Sodium lighting while enhancing energy efficiency and reducing glare.
