Reflecting on a very busy final few weeks of 2024, I’m feeling very proud and ready for a nice rest, before the 2025 fun begins! At the end of November, we had the privilege of delivering our Retail Services Leadership Event. A firm favourite in the events calendar, with the amazing energy our Retail Services Leaders always bring, as well as the tremendous amount of teamwork it takes to deliver. Craig Taylor, Sarah Rogers, Kathryn Baker-Buckley, Amy Salmon, Leanne Dalby, Adam Dutch, DRPG, Heather Pedwell, Chloé Wilson, Ellie McGinnes, Alison Tiffin, Mandy Beech MBA, Francesca Golding, Debbie C.. What I loved about our 2024 event was the time and focus we put into pushing ourselves creatively. Introducing new innovations such as social experiments (would you push the buzzer?!) selfie recognition randomisers and analysing every detail of our colleague’s overall experience, to make it the best possible. The event also included another brilliant film creative from Sebastian Bird and DRPG film team, where we showcased the years' highlights in a WhatsApp group chat format. Fast paced, fun, humorous and relatable, using a mix of media such as voice notes, videos and GIF’s to bring the content and amazing achievements to life. Hopefully our 700 Retail Services Leaders who attended agree it one of the best yet! That then led into our final events delivery of 2024, The Big Nationwide Building Society Quiz of the Year. A complete cross-team collaboration to deliver two events - face-to-face and virtual for over 125 teams. This was in support of Action for Children’s Secret Santa Campaign. It was lovely to see everyone come together, enjoy themselves and raise lots of money to help buy essentials such as warm clothes, a hot meal, or a special Christmas present for vulnerable children. Jugo, Jessica Richardson, Corporate Events. Then finally to wrap up 2024 with a nice big bow, I was honoured to be named in the Nationwide Season of Gratitude Advent Calendar, for my work on this year’s AGM. The advent calendar recognises colleagues that have gone over and above for customers, communities and one another. A lovely surprise to round off the year! Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year.

A day to remember for EBC Group! 🎉 On Friday, we held our company conference and Christmas party! We kicked off the day with our conference at the incredible DRPG. It was the perfect opportunity to reflect on 35 years of EBC Group, celebrate our achievements, and share our exciting growth strategy for the next 3 years. The day was packed with team-building activities, plenty of laughs, and even some surprising talent during our singing competitions 🎤🎶 From there, we headed over to Kidderminster Harriers Football Club to let our hair down at the Christmas party. It was a fantastic chance for the whole team to relax, connect, and reflect on another successful year together. A huge thank you to everyone who made the day so special.
