This translates to an estimated £140 million worth of clothes wasted each year. Additionally, it is estimated that UK households dispose of about 1.6 million tonnes of bulky waste items such as furniture, which often still have life left in them. We've been working on expanding our services, and that includes a physical expansion. Starting in Hull, we've worked our way across the North, meandering through Scotland, down to Wales and across the Midlands and South of Britain. We even operate in Northern Ireland! Charities across 100 cities and towns are now supported by us. DropPoint doesn't just advertise points on a map, we also help charities use social media to push their cause, find corporate and individual donors and work in partnership with multiple organisations to share resources. With new objectives and big plans for 2024, we hope to reach even more people in need.
