Our research and experience across over 20+ sectors continues to highlight the impact ‘alignment’ has on performance. Success now takes constant evolution and transformation but it only happens when people work together on coherent plans that everyone can play their part in executing. Here’s a twist we sometime use on a very old culture adage!

🚀 10 Takeaways on Making Culture Measurement Tangible and Impactful from Dragonfish's Hack-a-thon Last week's Hack-a-thon was an incredibly engaging and insightful event! A huge thank you to all the attendees for their participation and contributions. Here are the key takeaways: 💥 Define Your Culture: Align on what 'culture' means for your organization. Whether it's an 'ecosystem view to drive sustainable performance' or 'how people feel on a Sunday night' - own your definition. 💥 Measure What Matters: Focus on what’s crucial. For example if fostering inclusivity is a priority, understand why it matters, where you stand, and what are the vital measures to track progress. 💥 Set Evidence-Based Goals: Link culture attributes or behaviors to outcomes with specific, evidence-based goals. 💥 Maintain a Holistic View: Avoid unintended consequences by keeping the bigger picture in mind. Culture management can be like whack-a-mole if measures aren't well-integrated. 💥 Adapt to Your Lifecycle: Tailor your measurement approach to your organization's lifecycle stage - defining, activating, embedding, or sustaining culture. 💥 Expand Data Sources: Look beyond employee engagement to include customer feedback, brand health, operational data, safety, and risk metrics. 💥 Embrace Challenges: Measure areas that might worsen before improving. Strength comes from surfacing issues, learning, and strengthening the system. 💥 Start Where You Are: Begin with existing data and build from there. Focus on what you should measure, not just what you can measure. Create an action plan to close gaps. 💥 Continuous Improvement: Culture measurement is an ongoing cycle of listening, learning, and improving. It’s more than dashboards or annual surveys. Use data to drive key improvements and ensure accountability. 💥 Intentional Culture: Choose the culture you aspire to and measure it, or let it evolve on its own. Either way, you get the culture you deserve.
