Re-introducing Djassi Africa. We advance and back African and Afro-diasporan innovators building tech-enabled startups to solve the world's greatest challenges. We envision technology, entrepreneurship, and bold innovators as the catalyst for the socio-economic transformation of the African continent and the rest of the world. Our mission is to unlock the potential of these innovators and accelerate the growth of their businesses to deliver impact at scale. And how do we do it? 1) Venture Building - we accelerate and mature high potential early-stage startups into investable and market-ready businesses (Idea, pre-Seed and Seed stages). 2) Ecosystem Building - we follow a data-driven approach to embed diversity, equity, and sustainability in the DNA of innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystems. 3) Funding - we are angel investors, typically one of the first investors in early-stage startups that require much more than financial capital to grow and scale. We are pan-African with a current priority on Lusophone Africa countries (PALOP) and the Afro-diaspora in Europe. Djassi Africa was founded in April 2020 by Fernando Cabral and Rudolphe Cabral. DEMODAY – 5th Edition of the Cabo Verde Digital Scholarship Yesterday, at the Demoday of the 5th edition of the Cabo Verde Digital Scholarship, we witnessed the culmination of thirteen weeks of pre-incubation and intensive training. Our founders proved to be more than ready for the challenge, confidently and professionally presenting their solutions before a demanding jury and an enthusiastic audience eager to discover innovative ideas with the potential to shape the future of healthcare, education, commerce, and finance. Their pitches reflected the impact of the strategic guidance provided by Djassi Africa, led by Fernando and Rudolphe Cabral, with remote support from Adriane Coimbra, directly from São Paulo. This effort was complemented by the dedication of the mentors and the Project Manager, Igor Lopes, who played an essential role in guiding the startups throughout this journey. This 5th edition also highlighted the spirit of mutual support among the participants, embodying the essence of a true entrepreneurial ecosystem, where individual growth is driven by collective strength. Once again, we emphasize that for Cabo Verde Digital, supporting young people ready to transform ideas into tangible impact is vital to contributing to the sustainable progress and innovative future of Cabo Verde.
