Our Co-Executive Chairman Mark A. Today marks a very special day for the Exchange as we welcome Bill Deckelman into his new role as Co-Executive Chairman. Bill joins the leadership team at a pivotal time as we prepare to launch a collaboration between several of our market-leading multinational business members in a first-of-its-kind pilot project focussing on Defining a new Gen AI-Era Legal Talent and Organizational Model. With a wealth of experience across business, technology and legal, Bill served for 16 years as Executive Vice President and General Counsel of DXC Technology Company and a predecessor company, Computer Sciences Corporation. Bill is a recognized thought leader, visionary and innovator in digital transformation of global legal and commercial organizations and was named "Most Innovative General Counsel" by the Financial Times in 2017 as well as “American Lawyer 2017 Lawyer of the Year Finalist”. We are delighted to welcome Bill, who Co-Executive Chairman Mark A. Cohen describes as “the personification of the digital lawyer: a highly skilled, experienced practitioner who has leveraged his legal expertise and deep knowledge of business and technology.” into the Exchange leadership. Kicking off LegalTechTalk with a bang! Our Executive Chairman Mark A. Cohen and Faculty Advisor Jenifer Swallow opened the conference with the keynote focusing on Aligning Law with Business and Social Transformation, reminding us of the importance of remembering law’s purpose, maintaining our people skills in the sea of tech tools and remaining socially conscious of our roles as lawyers in society. The Digital Legal Exchange family is out in force this week for the inaugural LegalTechTalk conference in Canary Wharf on 13th and 14th June. Kicking off the conference is our Executive Chairman Mark A. Cohen and Faculty Advisor Jenifer Swallow who will be hosting the opening keynote focussing on Aligning Law with Business and Social Transformation which will touch on aspects of law’s purpose, new processes and technological tools, talent, social responsibility, and the human side of digital transformation.
