    🚀 Excited to share my experience presenting CustomLens AI at the ICOAI 2024 in Dubai! 🚀 At the conference, I had the opportunity to introduce our project and our paper, Revolutionizing Post-Cataract Surgery Outcomes, which aims to address a key challenge in the field of ophthalmology: achieving universal spectacle independence after cataract surgery. CustomLens AI is designed to transform post-cataract surgery outcomes for millions of patients, responding to the fact that, despite advancements, over 20 million individuals still rely on glasses post-surgery, with only 15% adoption of premium intraocular lenses (IOLs). Our platform leverages advanced AI algorithms to streamline the surgical planning process, predict post-operative vision outcomes, and empower surgeons to select optimal IOLs for each patient, ultimately aiming to raise premium IOL adoption to 50% in the next five years. This innovative solution supports stakeholders across the industry by: 1) Enabling surgeons to achieve precise patient expectations and better outcomes. 2) Enhancing access to premium IOLs for new and experienced surgeons alike. 3) Expanding spectacle-free vision, especially in regions where glasses are a luxury. With a continuous improvement cycle driven by real surgical outcomes, CustomLens AI ensures improved visual results and a pathway to making spectacle independence a reality for patients worldwide. This partnership program strengthens the collaboration and supports innovation between academic and industry partners.   CustomLensAI’s mission is to develop cutting-edge intelligent automation systems in the fields of cataract and refractive lens surgery. Its AI-assisted platform is designed for user-friendliness, automation, and scalability. This may not be something many of us have given a lot of thought to. But as surgeons, shouldn't we be helping our patients achieve the look they want - without the need for them to have to wear glasses post-surgery?

  • Each Surgical Prescription includes all the information needed to perform surgery and includes: 1. The IOL model, spherical, toric and presbyopic powers needed 2. Where the Toric IOL and incision meridian should be optimally placed 3. The anaesthesia to be used. It also includes any unusual aspects of the eye which are relevant for the surgeon to know prior to performing the surgery.
