The UK's leading charity empowering lives through the creative arts. Charity of the Year 2020.
About us
Create is a registered charity (No 1099733) that uses the creative arts to empower lives. We design and deliver projects that enable those who are excluded through disability, disadvantage, ill-health, imprisonment, poverty or social isolation to participate in high quality creative arts experiences. All projects enable participants to develop creativity, learning, social skills and self-esteem. Some bring different groups of people together to breakdown barriers and develop shared understanding; others enable them to explore social concerns. Every project aims to help to create a society that is fairer, more caring and more inclusive.

🌟 At Create we see everyday the positive impact the creative arts has on young carers and other vulnerable groups. 🎄 Due to their caring responsibilities, young carers often don't get to relax and enjoy the holidays with everyone else. During the Christmas break, many young carers look after a loved one for more hours than the average work day. ⏰ ✨Access to the creative arts allows them to meet other young people who are experiencing the same thing as them, and build community and friendships through creating together. 🎨 🎁 This Christmas, we invite you to give the gift of creativity, so we can continue bringing the creative arts to those who need it most. 👇 Donate today

🖌️ “When you are creative, you use your brain more and you can see how much more powerful your brain is. It helps you not think about other things… it gives you a break from the world.” – Isaac, 14 For children in care, creativity provides a vital escape – a chance to pause, reflect, and explore their potential in a supportive space. 🌟 Follow the links below to read our recent blog and to donate to our Christmas Campaign. Did you know this? 21% of young carers spend more than 11 hours a day caring for a loved one over the Christmas break - a time when many of their peers are relaxing and celebrating. At Create, we understand the incredible challenges young carers face. Through our projects, we help them build confidence, make meaningful connections, and improve their wellbeing, giving them the tools to better cope with their responsibilities.
