Throughout 2024, Community Action Nepal have run Immunisation Programmes throughout the Tsum and Nubri valleys. These images are taken at our Health Post in Lihi. These programmes are invaluable to local communities who are often days away from basic medical care. Our nurses seek to not only deliver these initiatives, but to educate communities on sanitation, hygiene and mental health. In short, our nurses are vital to what we do and we appreciate each and every one of them. Namaste 🙏

Our 2024 Staff and supporter's Trek visited the school at Prok in Nubri Valley last month. Looking through their snaps, we found this picture of a sign in one of classrooms and we loved it. A lesson for us all. Prok School is heart warming place with a fabulous atmosphere. It made everyone smile but the setting is secondary to the amazing children and inspiring staff. Namaste 🙏

A healthy baby girl born over the weekend at our Health Post in Prok. We invest in training our nurses in maternity care and safe delivery to ensure the women of these remote communities have access to the care we take for granted. This little one was born at a healthy weight 5.7lbs and mother and baby are doing well. What a lovely way to start the working week! ❤️ 🙏

We were at Kendal Mountain Festival last weekend and managed to raise record funds for Community Action Nepal. A team of dedicated volunteers worked incredibly hard to make the weekend a massive success! We met up with old friends, made some new ones and did Doug proud. Our little stall was featured on ITV Border News on Sunday evening too - the icing on the cake! Roll on next year. Namaste 🙏

Our 2024 Supporters Trek arrived at our Lho Health Post over the weekend. Lho Village sits at 3180m altitude and this remote community is reliant on this Health Post to not only treat illness and injury but to educate the community too. We run immunisation programmes periodically throughout the year to safeguard children and babies as well as educational talks on nutrition and hygiene. Our Health Post staff are trained in antenatal and post-natal care to reduce infant mortality rates and ensure safe and sterile deliveries.

Wishing Cat, aka The Molar Explorer, the very best of luck as she takes on her epic challenge - a 700 mile expedition to the South Pole to raise funds for us and we are so grateful! Please read about Cat, what she hopes to achieve and donate if you can. You'll find her page on JustGiving, search Molar Explorer 🪥
