About us
CBP are an award-winning Blackburn-based CIC; set up in 1988 to provide services to both the local community and businesses on a local and global level. CBP’s purpose is to inspire, empower and nurture people and businesses, to remove barriers and make a positive change to their future and we do this through a number of high-impacting services. We have one of the largest business mentor and coaching teams in the North West and for over 30 years have built aa team of mentors and coaches with experience of supporting thousands of businesses to achieve their growth plans and thousands of members of the community to address their needs. All our business support makes a direct impact on our communities, as a not for profit organisation. Our aim is to improve social, economic and environmental conditions locally, nationally and globally, working in partnership with private, public and voluntary sectors. We have pioneered the concept of linking local residents with innovative solutions to enable them to improve their lives. What a Year! CBP’s 2024 Annual Review 2024 has been a year of change, growth, and fun as we continued to provide vital support to businesses and make a positive impact in our community. Here’s a look back at some of our highlights: 🌟 Events We hosted 17 events, supporting 272 businesses and 462 individuals, delivering valuable insights, connections, and opportunities for growth. 💼 Business Support We supported 90 businesses with 1,066 hours of dedicated business support. empowering business leaders to thrive and achieve their goals. 🍎 Food Distribution We distributed 2,759 food boxes to the local community. Partnered with Lidl for 400+ collections, providing11,858 free meals to those in need. 🌸 Blossoms Blossoms celebrated its 1st birthday, welcoming thousands of individuals to access affordable clothing. 🎨 RePaint & SAMS We saved 3,316 litres of paint from landfill through our Community RePaint project. Through SAMS we have supported 300+ schools, nurseries, and artists, transforming waste into creative opportunities. 🤝 Volunteers Facilitated 3,400+ volunteer hours, helping to fight isolation and provide upskilling opportunities.
