It is with great pleasure that I share being awarded the Robin Jones Award for 'Outstanding Student/Trainee/Apprentice,' under the category of 'promoting Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) within civil engineering surveying'. I was recognised with this award at the esteemed CICES Institution Dinner held on 20th September 2024 at King’s College, Cambridge for the contributions made during my undergraduate internship, including insights published in a conference proceeding under the guidance of Prof. (Mrs.) Udayangani Kulatunge. I am truly grateful to CICES for sending me the certificate and making this recognition even more special as I could not attend the event. The Robin Jones Award is presented by the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (CICES) annually to celebrate exceptional achievements in three key areas: "Innovation and Sustainability", "Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion", and "overcoming challenges or breaking boundaries through education, training, and development". This prestigious accolade honours the legacy of Robin Jones, celebrating individuals who inspire positive change and excellence in civil engineering surveying. My sincere gratitude to Prof. (Mrs.) Udayangani Kulatunga, Prof. (Mrs.) Kanchana Perera, Prof. (Mrs.) Anuradha Waidyasekara, the academic staff of the Department of Building Economics, Mr. Batsetswe Motsumi FCInstCES MInstLM (Immediate Past President of CICES), Ms. Serena Egerton (Membership Manager of CICES), and all the representatives of CICES.
