The C.Co team is made up of leading thinkers, practitioners, and data analysts with unparalleled experience of the public, private and third sector. Creative, Curious and Analytical, we work with communities, businesses and public services to develop deep insights and develop new solutions. We have worked with over 100 clients across all parts of the UK including central government departments, the LGA, COSLA, Local Authorities, the NHS, Police, Housing Providers, the independent/private and third sector.     Business Partnering and Getting the Basics Right C.Co has supported many organisations to transform its core system and processes. As the organisation’s “engine room”, effective core systems play a key role in securing sustainable change and delivering approved savings. Many organisations have moved to a business partner model for selected core services, including transitioning to finance business partnering. Implementing this change requires cultural shift and commitment. Effective finance business partnering requires a change of behaviours both from finance professionals and from budget holders. They need to speak a common language and understand their respective roles and functions. As part of its Brilliant Basics offer, C.Co has supported many clients to do this by applying a tried and tested methodology for a successful transition, involving listening to local requirements to design a tailored local programme. The focus is around recognising it’s a partnership, and making sure those involved are represented and are listened to. In 2024 to date, C.Co has already delivered face to face workshops and training to over 200 local authority delegates, developed training needs assessments and competency frameworks for budget managers and finance teams. Everything is tailored to meet local needs. The final report sets out the findings arising from the review and a focused management action plan, which can be presented to and shared with participants and senior managers as part of engagement. Client feedback has been highly constructive and positive and participant engagement has been fantastic. Strong collaboration has been evident - essential for effective partnership working. C.Co has received great feedback and comments from our most recent projects is shown below and more projects are underway. C.Co can provide this to your organisation cost effectively and at pace.
