As part of our 'Bupa in Bloom' sustainability initiative, the team at the Parade Specialist Dental Centre, Cardiff transformed their outdoor space into a thriving haven for biodiversity, adding birdhouses, bee and bug hotels, pollinating plants, and evergreen shrubs. A fantastic transformation, with plans already underway to expand their green efforts further! Last month, The Bupa Foundation funded the launch of a new solar-powered mobile dental unit by Dentaid The Dental Charity. This versatile lower-emission dental surgery on wheels will enable the charity to reach more new locations, and will be used to provide care for people experiencing homelessness, poverty, harm and abuse. The mobile surgery is the 10th in Dentaid’s fleet. Dental professionals onboard will perform extractions, fillings, scale and polish, x-rays and oral cancer screening, in addition to giving dental health advice.
