  • Last week, our Head of People Partnerships and Procurement Officer, Kara and Daud, had the pleasure of joining ACH Refugee Integration Services Provider 🧡 at the House of Commons for their Parliamentary Reception led by Kerry McCarthy (Labour MP for Bristol East) and Paulette Hamilton (Labour MP for Birmingham Erdington). Kara said: "This was a really insightful event demonstrating the value of investment in programmes for the integration of refugees. We joined key partners to talk about our contribution to supporting refugees into work. We are really proud to have played a small part in supporting Daud's journey and others we have helped in to work. These initiatives are key for creating inclusive communities and in line with our values help to create strong, diverse and inclusive teams." Photo credit: Piers Allardyce

  • Last week, Brunelcare had the pleasure of attending The Great British Care Awards South West, where two of our exceptional team members were recognised for their dedication and excellence. 👏💙 Marion Watson, Senior Care Assistant at our Robinson House Care Home, and Lesley Hobbs, Care Home Manager at our Deerhurst Care Home, were both nominated for regional awards following their impressive wins at the Care & Support West Awards on Thursday 26th September at Ashton Gate. Marion was honoured with the Care Home Front Line Award, while Lesley earned the prestigious Care Home Manager Award.🙌 While Lesley and Marion did not win the regionals last week, we are so proud that they were there to represent Brunelcare and, of course, they are our winners! A huge well done to Lesley and Marion for getting to the regionals - an amazing achievement.💙

  • Yesterday our Chief Executive Oona Goldsworthy, Head of People Partnerships Kara Bolland and Procurement Officer Mohammad 'Daud' Alizay, attended 'The Welcome Party: An evening celebrating journeys from sanctuary to success with Sir Mo Farah'. The Welcome Party event, hosted by ACH Refugee Integration Services Provider 🧡, was held to honour refugees, asylum seekers and migrants in Bristol and celebrate their positive impact in the city and across the UK. Oona and Kara gave a talk on the positive impact of integrating diverse talent in our organisation, and Daud spoke about his personal journey and the support that led to his career growth as Procurement Officer at Brunelcare. The team also had the opportunity to meet special guest Sir Mo Farah, who spoke about his own journey from arriving in the UK as a young refugee to becoming an Olympic Champion. A big thank you to ACH for organising such an impactful celebration of refugees, people seeking asylum and vulnerable migrants in Bristol 👏
