Charlotte Fry and Glamourdale were the stars at the top of the Christmas tree in tonight's London leg of the Federation Equestre Internationale (FEI) Dressage World Cup series 🎄⭐ "Glamourdale was amazing, I couldn't be more happy with him. Winning is just the icing on the cake when you know he's done his best – when he's feeling like that, I couldn't ask for more," she said afterwards. "It's not about what we're achieving, it's about enjoying it with him. Competing with Glamourdale is just one of my favourite things to do in life!" They took the Freestyle win with a super score of 86.645%, ahead of Norway's Isabel Freese and Total Hope OLD in second and the Netherland's Dinja van Liere and Hartsuijker in third🤩 Crowd favourites Becky Moody and Jagerbomb finished fourth for 80.160% with their new Beatles-themed floorplan, while Lewis Carrier and Diego V finished ninth with 76.310% 👏 If you missed any of the action from The London International Horse Show, you can catch up on BBC iPlayer 💻 #LIHS24 #BestOfBritish #Glamordale

Parading in the main arena at The London International Horse Show this evening was the perfect way to celebrate our successes at Paris 2024 🤩 Our athletes and Performance Managers were joined by some of our wonderful owners, grooms and World Class Programme support staff, without whom these incredible results wouldn't be possible 🤝 We love opportunities to share moments like this with people who weren't able to be at Chateau de Versailles... and maybe inspire the medallists of tomorrow in the process 🏅 UK Sport Team GB ParalympicsGB 📷 British Equestrian/ Jon Stroud

We're happy to share the news that our funding from UK Sport for our World Class Performance Programme for the cycle to take us to LA28 Olympic & Paralympic Games has seen a near 3% rise for Olympic sports while the para equestrian programme has been boosted by just under 10%. Totaling over £15.5 million, the funding covers the period from April 2025 to March 2029 and is key to supporting our athletes and horses on the programmes which help them develop and realise their potential to perform on the world's biggest stages. BEF Performance Director Helen Nicholls said: "We are extremely grateful to UK Sport for their recognition and belief in our ability to deliver medals and meaningful results on the global stage. Thanks also to the Government in providing financial stability and security with this enhanced commitment to elite level sport - being able to plan long term is a key in sporting success and gives a huge performance advantage. "The LA cycle will certainly be a financial challenge across our four Olympic and Paralympic disciplines, but we will work hard and smart to support our athletes to develop and grow, as well as inspiring the next generation and new supporters with their achievements and stories, in and out of the saddle."
