At Brash we are driven by the mission to create technology solutions that make a real difference in people’s lives. Our most recent achievement? A bespoke Staff Wellbeing app developed for Abbots Care, a leading care provider based in Hertfordshire, known for their award-winning services and outstanding CQC rating. When Abbots Care approached us during the COVID-19 pandemic, their frontline medical care providers were facing increased levels of fear, anxiety, isolation, and vulnerability. These challenges were compounded by the nature of their work, which could lead to high staff turnover and an isolated working environment. We needed a solution that would go beyond the usual scope of a workplace app. The result? A Wellbeing app designed to offer support, facilitate communication, provide feedback, and recognise the vital contributions of these frontline heroes. The app’s impact was immediate and profound, with over 90% of Abbots Care's 500 staff members downloading it shortly after launch. It has since become a cornerstone of their strategy to boost morale, mental health, and staff engagement. A key aspect of our app’s success is its design. From the outset, we embraced a mobile-first approach, adhering closely to the human interface guidelines for iOS and Android. The app is cross-platform and boasts features like polls, good news updates, and rewards for high-performing staff, all tailored to keep users engaged and motivated. What truly sets our app apart is its accessibility. We considered the needs of technophobic users and the diverse linguistic backgrounds of Abbots Care's workforce. For many, English is a second language, and traditional app designs can feel overwhelming. That’s why we opted for a simple layout with large, image-led buttons, ensuring that every user—regardless of their tech-savviness or language proficiency—can navigate the app with ease. Our development process was guided by lean and agile principles, starting with a prototype and Minimum Viable Product (MVP) to test the user base and collect data. We didn’t just build an app; we built a dynamic tool that evolves with its users. By incorporating feedback and monitoring engagement metrics, we continuously optimise and scale the app, ensuring it stays relevant and effective. We are proud that our partnership with Abbots Care is ongoing, and we are excited to roll out new features designed to further enhance the user experience. Recent updates include a poll feature to drive engagement among care workers, and in the pipeline are push notifications, an in-house FAQ, and daily tips aimed at promoting best practices and continuous training. Looking ahead, we remain committed to pushing the boundaries of what technology can do for small businesses and their employees. Whether it’s enhancing communication, boosting engagement, or providing the tools for better mental health and wellbeing, we are here to help organisations thrive.

We're thrilled that we are a finalist in the Incentive Awards 2024! We have been shortlisted for the Best Technology Provider for our work with the great team at Abbots Care in developing their Wellbeing App. Abbots Care were concerned that their frontline medical care providers were experiencing increased levels of fear, anxiety, isolation and vulnerability during Covid. The Wellbeing app was designed to promote engagement with their remote care workers, increase the feeling of being supported, whilst rewarding good practice and recognising excellence in the face of working in exceedingly difficult circumstances. Over 90% of staff use the app on a regular basis and we continue to roll out new features. 💥 Congratulations to all the team.

The one question we get asked all the time is how can people free up more time in their business. Entrepreneurs, executives, and small business owners often find themselves juggling countless tasks, from administrative duties to strategic decision-making. Business automation can save time, money and improve business efficiency. Here’s how it can help What is Business Automation? The use of technology to streamline and automate business processes. This can involve the use of software tools to automate routine, time-consuming tasks, freeing up valuable time for more strategic decision-making. Workflow automation can help businesses increase efficiency, reduce errors, and improve overall productivity. It can be applied to various aspects of a business, from administrative duties to customer relationship management. Why do I need it? Businesses need workflow automation to increase efficiency, reduce errors, and improve overall productivity. By automating routine, time-consuming tasks, businesses can free up valuable time for more strategic decision-making. Automation can also help businesses grow and take on more clients without having to continually hire new people. It enables consistent results across all customers, decreases response times, and gives peace of mind because tasks are being completed. Completing tasks by hand takes time, but clients expect quick results. With limited resources to handle a plethora of maintenance tasks, there will always be tasks that simply don’t get done. Automation helps to reduce the risk of important tasks falling by the wayside and customer satisfaction plummeting. How will it help my business? Business workflow automation can help your business in many ways. It can help streamline your business processes, increase efficiency, reduce errors, and improve overall productivity. For example, CoPilot is an advanced automation and task management tool that can help optimise email communication by automatically categorising and sorting your emails, ensuring that your inbox remains tidy and clutter-free. It can also direct emails to the right team members or departments, making sure that communication flows efficiently and reaches the intended recipients. Additionally, workflow automation can help with staff induction, staff training, management training, strategic planning, and provide a pathway to improved efficiency and profitability.
