First tally in the chart!
As those of you who know me or have seen my linkedin posts, will know. I have been involved with Greater Manchester Blood Bikes for quite some time. My family are heavily involved with the charity and I myself have been looking to get more involved.
I volunteer along with the wonderful, incredible people who are also a part of this vital charity because the charity and one of its members saved my mum's life by delivering the blood she needed whilst having 3 operations in a single night many years ago.
I have been a fundraiser for some years now, and have helped with a number of things where I have been able to. However, I reached a personal milestone this morning as I completed my first job as a driver for the charity. As I'm on shift for today and tomorrow I'm hoping that I get to complete a few more jobs, but at the same time, also hope I'm not needed!
if you haven't already heard of us, or seen anything regarding what we do, I urge you to check out our website to see what the fine ladies and gents who volunteer for Greater Manchester Blood Bikes do in the background. Our website is: gmbb.org.uk
The charity is completely funded by donations, with no government support and not a penny in cost to the NHS. Our membership is fully volunteers and we are always on the look out for more active individuals who are willing to spend some time helping others.
Thanks for taking the time to read this post, and if you can, give us a share, or check out your local Blood Bike Organisation, there are many groups across the UK supporting the NHS in different areas of the country.
