The role is key in coordinating and ensuring the effectiveness of local arrangements to safeguard and promote the welfare of children across BCP. You’ll work alongside BCP Council, NHS Dorset, and Dorset Police, driving strategic priorities and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children, young people, and families. If you have experience in setting clear priorities, working within multi-agency settings, and are passionate about safeguarding, we want to hear from you! 🚶♀️🌍 Last week, Bournemouth University students had the opportunity to take a tour across various directorates, including Road Safety, Operations, Children’s & Adults' Services. The tour was followed by talks and a lively Q&A session in the Council Chambers. 🗣️ From homelessness and high street regeneration to tackling affordable housing and promoting wellbeing, students explored a range of important topics shaping the future of our local communities. 👏 What stood out most was the genuine passion of everyone involved, dedicated to improving lives and outcomes across the conurbation. 💜 It’s great to see the energy and commitment to making a real difference in the local area! 🤍 The 16 Days of Activism against Gender Based Violence campaign concludes today on Human Rights Day, though our work to tackle the issue remains ongoing. 👏 Thanks to all our partners, including AFC Bournemouth, Paragon, BCHA, STARS, Victim Support, The Wardrobe Foundation, LUSH, SOLVE, The Soroptimists, Anchor Housing and Beauty by Adele, who've worked with us to deliver a range of events across the 16 Days. As a White Ribbon Accredited organisation, BCP Council is committed to transforming cultures and challenging negative behaviours both within our organisation and our wider communities.
