On Wednesday we thoroughly enjoyed attending The Marketing Meetup at Temple Studios Bristol. Chris Dunne, Joint CEO of Outvertising, talked us through how well we know the LGBTQIA+ consumer. "We know LGBTQIA+ inclusion matters and works. 56% of 18-24 year olds do not consider themselves to be 100% hetrosexual (YouGov) 3 out out of 4 LGTBQ+ themed ads out perform generic ads in driving brand recall (Kantar Millward Brown) 45% of consumers under 34 say they are more likely to repeat business with an LGBTQ+ friendly company (Think with Google)" Chris shared some really interesting insights from their Consumer report, discussing attitudes and intentions of LGBTQIA+ people in their relationships with brands and advertising.
