  • LinkedIn's average reach has dropped by 22% in 2024. Want to know why and what to do about it? If you’ve noticed your posts aren’t performing like they used to, you’re not alone. Two-thirds of LinkedIn posts are underperforming. But why? 🤔 The algorithm has evolved, and it’s time to adapt. We analyzed over 621,833 posts to see how the algorithm works, and here’s what’s really happening: • The platform 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 you interact with most. • Posts 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗹𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 are prioritized. • 𝗤𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 fuels growth. Here’s how the algorithm checks your content in three stages: 1️⃣ 𝗜𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝟲𝟬 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗲𝘀) Your post is scanned for quality and spam indicators and tested on a small audience. 2️⃣ 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗧𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 (𝟭-𝟮 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀) LinkedIn measures how quickly the test audience engages with the post, dwell time, and click pattern. 3️⃣ 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝟮+ 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀) Your content is expanded to a larger audience, if it performs well early on. All in all, 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗲𝗱𝗜𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘇𝗲𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲 more than ever. According to Richard van der Blom's insights, nearly half of the posts appearing in feeds are driven by commercial purposes. So, you should focus on creating original and interesting content to gain engagement and win a spot in the feed. • LinkedIn signature isn’t just a line—it’s a strategy. ↳And it can grow your brand 56% faster. Think of a LinkedIn signature as the closing line that keeps the conversation going. Use it as a final call to action to guide your audience toward the next step. We tested the impact of signatures on follower growth, and found a 56% boost in profile views and followers. Here’s what all great LinkedIn signatures share, regardless of the field: 1️⃣ Clear and direct. They explicitly explain what the reader should do next. 2️⃣ Focused on the audience. They speak to the reader’s needs and interests. 3️⃣ Encourage action. They boost engagement with a sense of urgency or curiosity. 4️⃣ Concise. No fluff—just an actionable message. 5️⃣ Highlight the benefits Except for CTA, they also always include advantages for the reader. • Why your LinkedIn posts aren't performing that well ↳and how to fix them Millions of posts are shared on LinkedIn every day, but many of them just get lost in the noise. Why? 🤔 Because they don't hit the right balance in structure, length, and clarity. People scroll quickly— they'll decide in seconds if your post is worth their time. The sad truth is that text-only posts underperform, but it doesn't mean they are dead. As the platform evolves, so does the text. From text-only to descriptional purposes for other posts. Text is the backbone of every post-type —carousels, videos, infographics. We analyzed 459,648 posts to see what works, and here's what the data says: ▪️Posts that are 700-1000 characters long work the best for most creators. ▪️Posts under 100 and over 400 words don't do well. Using 200-300 words gets the highest engagement. ▪️Posts with 16 to 20 sentences are the most impactful. Those with 5 or fewer sentences often fall short. ▪️Simple and easy-to-read posts perform better. The readability index from 0 to 4 has the highest reach. 💡𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝟱 𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝘁𝗶𝗽𝘀: 1️⃣ Use strong and catchy hooks to grab attention. 2️⃣ Cut out unnecessary jargon and fluff 3️⃣ Use spacing, bullet points, and lists to add structure 4️⃣ Combine text with rich visuals 5️⃣ Aim for 4th-grade reading level. Make sure that your content is visually appealing, otherwise, it will just be skipped. By writing posts that your audience wants to read, and you'll ensure the results. P.S. What's your preferred length for LinkedIn posts—short and punchy or detailed and expansive?

  • 80% of your LinkedIn growth can come from just 20% of your efforts. Here's how. 👇 Have you ever heard of the Pareto Principle? It is also known as the 80/20 rule, which means that around 80% of results come from 20% of actions. This rule works for LinkedIn, too. If you spend 20% of your time on high-impact tasks, you'll get results faster. • Instead of lurking, comment. • Instead of "how to", write "how I" posts. • Instead of hiding mistakes, speak about them. • Instead of impressions -> focus on conversions. Sounds like too much? It is just 20% more effort to get the results you always wanted. ✅ And get them faster. 🏃♀️ Start with attracting your ideal audience: https://lnkd.in/dsqC-G-g

  • Did you know you can boost your LinkedIn reach up to 2.4x? 🚀 The secret is in the comments. But not all comments are equal. There are two types: 1️⃣ 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 - when readers comment directly on your post. 2️⃣ 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 - replies to those direct comments. Both increase reach, but indirect are the ones you need. They signal to the algorithm your content is discussion-worthy. Continuing the conversation in the comments will result in more engagement. When people see 10 replies to a comment, they "load previous replies," react to the comments, and add their insights. Every action counts! Here are some tips to get more indirect comments: • Respond to comments in the first hour. • Ask relevant questions to spark the dialogue. • Mention relevant people to extend the conversation. Besides the increased reach, you will strengthen connection with your network and position yourself as a go-to expert. ---- P.S. Did you know about the difference between direct and indirect comments?

  • Advocacy programs can 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗯𝘆 𝟲𝟱%.🔝 -> If you do it right. Think about it from an employee's perspective: Why should they care? Your team won’t engage just because you ask them to. They need a reason to become your brand’s authentic voice. Here’s how you can motivate them: 1️⃣ Involve them in your vision Share your company's goals and plans (for real, no fluff). When they feel included, they’ll naturally want to contribute more. It builds loyalty and shows them they’re valued. 2️⃣ Make it worth their while Employees want to know what's in it for them—a better reputation, stronger leadership skills, even just feeling happier at work. Highlight those benefits. 3️⃣ Offer real incentives Recognition goes a long way, but pairing it with tangible rewards can make a huge difference: • Monthly bonuses. • Gift cards or even trips. • Additional personal days. • Promotions and public acknowledgment. When employees see clear personal gains, they'll be far more likely to participate. Want to boost your employee advocacy program? • Are you missing out by relying on AI? ↳ Fast isn't always the best. You may save time by using AI comments, but only authentic ones will make you stand out. LinkedIn doesn't tell the difference between a generic comment and a meaningful one, but 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗮𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗻. We understand that using AI can be fast and easy But, it can do more harm than good.  𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲'𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝘆: 1️⃣ 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 Generic comments weaken your brand. Share insights that reflect your expertise and offer real value to the conversation. 2️⃣ 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 AI can’t replicate your personal experiences. Use your comments to share stories or examples that connect with others on a human level. 3️⃣ 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗲𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 People engage with unique perspectives. Add your unique voice to the conversation by providing fresh insights. This will boost engagement and reach. Think of every comment as an opportunity to: • show your expertise • reflect your personality • share unique insights Instead of rushing, take a moment to add real value. Your audience will notice, and trust and loyalty will follow. P.S. Have you tried using AI comments? Be honest :)

  • Think you need to go viral to grow your LinkedIn? Think again. 🤔 Forget about the follower count. It's the quality of engagement that matters the most. Better to have 5 people from your target audience, than 100 irrelevant ones. Here are 3 tips to help you: 1️⃣ 𝗙𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 Identify 10 influential people with a similar audience and comment on their posts.  When they see you multiple times, they will respond, giving you additional awareness. 2️⃣ 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵-𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 Your content should provide value or solutions for your audience. Start by conducting small research and sharing results with them or develop a resource you needed when you started. You can also share your experience, mistakes, and processes that helped you grow. 3️⃣ 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 Partner with other creators for joint projects, like webinars or articles.
