On the 11th Day of Christmas, Attivo gave to me… An inspirational ambassador. For the past year, rugby legend Jonny Wilkinson CBE has been working with Attivo on a number of projects, some involving our in-house team, as well as our spectacular Kick Off Summer client event in June. Attivo Chairman Stephen Harper explains why Jonny – and his work with Attivo – works so well in enhancing what we do. “Jonny changed how rugby is played. He changed how important place kicking is in international rugby. His coaching with players isn’t about working on their technique. It’s about how they think and feel, and his take on life completely aligns with how we view our role with our clients.” Doing things differently and achieving better: that’s what we’re about. Let’s raise a festive ‘cheers’ to that! Read more about our partnership with Jonny here: https://lnkd.in/eed_ZyF8

  • On the 9th Day of Christmas, Attivo gave to me… Attivo Life Magazine. It’s free for all, and showcases some of the best elements of Attivo – our clients! Inside, you’ll also hear from the Attivo team and discover what makes different. Past magazine issues include interviews with scientist and broadcaster Hannah Fry, actor and author Ben Miller, and this issue, the fabulous Julia Bradbury. We talk to innovators, changemakers and inspiring people from all walks of life. If you love to travel, there are journeys a-plenty (some gorgeous Scottish destinations in the current issue, perfect for a new year break). • On the 8th Day of Christmas, Attivo gave to me… Philanthropic and sustainable investment opportunities. This was a year full of exciting developments in enhancing philanthropic and sustainable investment opportunities. We know that these areas are becoming ever more important for our clients who want to positively impact the world beyond traditional investments. This year, we partnered with the Global Returns Project to provide philanthropic options for our clients. Roy Coulson, Attivo’s Head of Client Proposition, says, “Being able to align investments with what truly matters to our clients is a real gift, opening doors for meaningful change”. It feels as though this significant change is just the beginning, and we look forward to marching on with these initiatives in 2025.

  • On the 7th Day of Christmas, Attivo gave to me… A chance to make a real difference through community partnerships. This year, we have developed meaningful partnerships with organisations that are doing great work within their communities, including: • an initiative like Paul Dorkings’ Making Sense with Pence (teaching primary-age children about how money ‘works’) • covering Hazel Carter’s story of her fundraising for MND after her husband passed away • sponsoring the Attivo Ashes Legends Golf Day in support of the Giles Trust Brain Tumour Fund • sponsoring the Worcestershire Women’s Cricket team (The Women’s Rapids). It’s a pleasure and a privilege to highlight the work of some of these great organisations making a difference in their communities, and we raise a Christmas toast for all!

  • On the 5th Day of Christmas Attivo gave to me… A memorable experience meeting singer Jack Savoretti and Cerys Matthews at an Attivo client event through the Cheltenham Jazz Festival. “A lot of thought goes into our client events to make them an enriching – and, of course, entertaining – experience. This one was exceptional as some of our clients were able to be a part of an exclusive performance, as well as dining at the gorgeous Cowley Manor. Singer Jack Savoretti was so generous with his time, coming along for a private lunch and Q&A with clients, some of their Attivo Lifestyle Financial Planners and our senior team. We were even treated to a sneak preview of his performance before his appearance headlining the festival that evening. A special nod to Cowley Manor’s chef Jackson Boxer for the five-star lunch, certainly one to remember!” Claire, Attivo. • On the 3rd Day of Christmas Attivo gave to me… Brilliant in-house training and development. Ruby joined Attivo in 2023, and is just one of the latest cohorts benefiting from our first-class in-house training. “I was drawn to Attivo’s Training Academy because of the high level of support offered in terms of structured learning, the resources available, and the benefits of being able to do this with a cohort of peers. I’ve also benefited from my Attivo mentor and other colleagues who’ve completed their diplomas.” Read more on Ruby’s experience here: https://lnkd.in/eG9ytkps Our training academy is all about providing the next generation of planners and key talent within the business explicitly trained in the Attivo way. • On the 2nd Day of Christmas, Attivo gave to me… The gift of Christmas giving! Did you know that each year, you can gift sums of money up to a limit of £3,000 (based on current threshold limits), which will not be viewed as part of your estate (meaning these gifts are exempt from Inheritance Tax). We explain the Inland Revenue’s rules around this here: https://lnkd.in/e3Yybh3R It means you can bring joy to a family member or loved one and simultaneously making the most of tax breaks – definitely a cause for celebration!
