An environment that stems from Family 🖤 Charlie joined the team in 2018 and Andi in 2021. Charlie was quieter, confident and stylish on track, indeed almost too smooth at times (he always joked that he looked slow) Andi was wild… the speed was there but so were a lot of crashes!! The confidence they found on board the @athertonbikes A.200, fantastic pits, a great team and a firm friendship all came together in a partnership that culminated in 2023 with a World Cup win for Andi in front of his home crowd at Leogang and those historic gold and silver medals at the Fort William World Champs. It almost feels like the downhill bike... Burly and Robust! "The main reason I chose this bike was becuase I knew how rugged I knew it had to be, as you can see (in the video) its a pretty gnarly environment, and the bike has to take so many big hits. 🚴♂️ Eyes on the Prize 👀 Despite the challenging conditions that few managed to navigate successfully, Andi Kolb set a new benchmark at the #UCIDownhillWorldCup in Les Gets, dethroning Greg Minnaar from the hot seat with an impressive early race time. The track was incredibly treacherous, akin to peanut butter and jelly, as rain turned it into a slick and sticky challenge. Most riders struggled with off-camber sections, where even the smallest mistake led to slips and falls. However, Andi Kolb remained composed and strategic. Section after section, he went green, demonstrating his experience and smart line choices. Up by 2 seconds!
