Al Rayan Bank donates £7,457.80 to support Sands – the UK’s leading baby loss charity Hannah Peck, Strategic Partnerships Manager for Sands - baby loss charity commented, “A huge thank you to all colleagues at Al Rayan Bank for your generosity. Because of your support, we are able to answer calls to our helpline, offer memory boxes to help families grieve, and fund research to save babies lives. Your donation could help us to distribute 298 memory boxes, answer our helpline 186 times, or help us to deliver a memorial event, to help provide peace and comfort” We’re committed to making a positive impact in communities around our London and Birmingham offices, as well as across the UK.

We recently hosted an Market Risk workshop, uniting colleagues from our Finance, Treasury, Risk, and Products teams. The session was filled with valuable insights on calculating and managing market risk, featuring real-life examples that brought the concepts to life. Our Chief Financial Officer, Saalim Mahmood, praised the workshop, saying: "This event showcased our teams' expertise in mastering complex subjects and sharing knowledge across functions." Wajahat Parkar, our Head of Risk, added: "The session was invaluable, reinforcing the significance of market risk within our overall risk framework." Enva Doda joined the Bank last July as a Senior Risk Analyst and recently transitioned to the Finance Team as a Financial Risk Manager. Al Rayan Bank Donates £7,457.80 to support Centrepoint – Ending Youth Homelessness Yi Zhou, Mass Participation and Fundraising Officer commented, “Thank you so much to Al Rayan Bank for your generous donation to Centrepoint. With support from organisations like yours, we can continue to do lifechanging work to support homeless young people. We are working to provide real solutions. Since 2023, Centrepoint has created 50 homes in London, and we're planning to build another 297 homes by 2027. Paint Party Success! Our colleagues had an amazing time at Paint Parties held at both our London and Birmingham offices this week. Guided by a professional artist, they created stunning paintings with all materials provided and delicious mocktails and canapés, it was a perfect evening of creativity and relaxation. Everyone left with a beautiful masterpiece to take home. Marketing & Products Teams' Volunteering Day Out! Our Marketing and Products teams recently volunteered at Quinton Foodbank, part of the Trussell Trust network. They spent a day at Tesco in Quinton, Birmingham, raising awareness and encouraging donations to support those in need.
