Allison Architects have obtained Listed Building Consent from Glasgow City Council for the conversion of the Category B Listed property on Berekeley Street, Glasgow into Serviced Apartments. The conversion will see the continued use and preservation of this Georgian property for years to come and will help retain some of the areas built heritage. Allison Architects are delighted to be completing works on this beautiful heritage home this week. The project involved the conversion of the basement to create an additional level of accommodation to this sandstone villa in Cambuslang. The design celebrated the character of the home by retaining the sandstone features whilst adding contemporary notes such as floor to ceiling gazing to take advantage of the beautiful views over Glasgow. #heritagehomes #design #conversions #glasgow

Allison Architects are delighted to be nearing completion of this stunning contemporary extension to a heritage sandstone family home in Hillpark. The extension's choice of materials compliments the traditional sandstone features of the villa by using handmade Mystique facing brick with mellow yellow tones and subtle colour blends. The clients wanted an open and bright family space they can enjoy and the ample amount of glazing from the bi-fold doors offers plenty of light with a flush threshold for indoor-outdoor living onto a raised patio area.
