  • 🗝 THE VALUE OF OUR RELATIONSHIPS IN BUSINESSS 🗝 Not our usual post, but Teddie Levenfiche, cofounder of PerfectTed, caught our attention with his post and it made us think about the importance of building a strong, trusting relationship between manufacturers and customers — something we really pride ourselves in cultivating with our customers from day one. 💲 For those unaware, Prime is drink and cultural phenomenon co-founded by YouTubers Logan Paul and KSI, launched in January 2022. Its founders' large online followings and effective social media marketing kept Prime in the spotlight. Initial launches often sold out quickly, creating a sense of scarcity that drove demand, leading to inflated resale prices. The most expensive bottle of Prime reportedly sold for around £100,000 at a December 2022 charity auction organized by Arsenal FC to benefit The Arsenal Foundation. This exceptional price reflects the extraordinary hype surrounding Prime, especially in the UK, where it frequently sold out. Resellers on platforms like eBay have sold bottles for hundreds of dollars, and supermarkets limited purchases per customer. 😥 However, Prime's popularity has waned due to the fading novelty that initially drove its hype and as the product became more widely available, the urgency and exclusivity that fueled its demand diminished. With the dropping in sales, there are now significant challenges for its manufacturers Refresco Beverages. Refresco claims Prime and Congo Brands breached their April 2023 contract by failing to purchase a minimum volume of at least 18.5 million cases per year. Refresco argues it invested considerable time and money retrofitting its equipment for Prime’s unique bottle shape. While Paul claimed $250 million in retail sales and $110 million gross in the first year, Prime allegedly refused to test the new equipment in March 2024 and declined to start commercial production the following month. 💡 Our take away - It’s really important to us that both parties are getting what they need from the relationship. We dedicate a lot of time to understanding our clients, testing products, and fine-tuning recipes while maintaining an open dialogue about costs. We believe transparency is key from the start. Although we are not on the same level as Prime, this post has reminded us how grateful we are for our wonderful customers and how proud we are of our processes that have allowed trust to develop over time. We hope this means we will avoid finding ourselves in a situation like Refresco Beverages.

Drinks Retailing reports on Gen Z drinking behaviours, culture, the concept of 'zebra striping' and affects on mental health. Follow the link to read in full! "Personally, it is common for me to head to the pub and alternate between alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. My aim of going out isn’t always drunkenness as much as enjoying the taste. And I’m not the only one. As per KAM’s Low and No 2024: Drinking Differently report, an increasing number of 18–24-year-olds are alternating between alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in a practice which has been named zebra-striping. This is part of a more general trend, says the report, where the population is incorporating more alcohol-free drinks into their habits. Yet, it’s the most common among Gen Z." https://lnkd.in/eamCaiRT

  • 💰 SUPERMARKET PRICES ... SUPER MARKET QUALITY??? 💰 It is really hard at the moment for all of us. We are having to make difficult decisions when it comes to where we spend our money.  A recent Wagestream report says that, “close to all UK employees (96%) have seen their living costs rise and, as a result, 70% now worry more about money.” Therefore when 'BIG supermarket' swoops in with savings on the essentials, and now the potentially 'non' essentials well of course we are going to want to buy the cheaper version. It would be crazy to spend £2.50+ on something that Aldi are now selling for 99p right?? 💲 But what are the COSTS involved in these savings? The biggest way in which these shots differ from the smaller produced, small business brands are when you look at the ingredients, the amounts of certain ones, and therefore the potency of the goodness. 🤦♀️ This is the ingredient list for the Aldi ginger shot, where the number one ingredient is APPLE juice - Apple Juice, Ginger Root (25%), Antioxidant: Ascorbic Acid. When comparing the ingredient list to one from a smaller producer, you'll notice that the main ingredient, often organic, is the star of the show. For example, in a ginger shot, guess what the main ingredient is? That's right - Ginger! It's clear to see the true value of opting for a more expensive, quality ingredient lead shot. ❤️ So while it's important for all of us to be mindful of what we're purchasing right now, don't be fooled by those supermarket versions! Instead, consider buying some fresh ginger and lemon with that 99p and enjoying it with hot water. It's a healthier and more enjoyable option.

  • 🍸 All In The Bottle - IMBIBE London 🍸 It might seem like we're spending more time out of the factory than in it right now, but rest assured, everything is chugging along smoothly in the background. This allows us to attend these amazing shows and connect with as many new and innovative producers as we can. 👨🎓 This week, we went to Imbibe Live. The Imbibe Live Show is a trade event for the UK on-trade drinks industry, bringing together professionals like bartenders, sommeliers, and bar managers. It features exhibitors showcasing a variety of products and offers educational sessions and networking opportunities with industry experts. There were loads to see, taste and enjoy. It was great connecting with Nicolas Medicamento MIH from Club Soda and hearing his exciting future plans. His talk about creating alcohol free cocktails that customers will love, was really great, and the samples handed out were delicious. It was brilliant to see the emphasis on inclusive drink menus in this conversation, as the trend for mindful drinking is certainly not going anywhere. Also it was brilliant to catch up with two fellow Sober Business Network Limited friends, Angharad Fell from NoLo Cocktails & Bars and Denise Hamilton-Mace from Low No Drinker Magazine.  It was the first time actually talking to Denise IRL which was such a treat! Overall a fun show again this year - Cannot wait for 2025, and the continuing growing focus on different NA based drinks. • 🪴 All In The Bottle - BBC Good Food, Birmingham 🪴  An amazing time was had this past weekend at BBC Good Food Show in Birmingham. This show is always a calendar highlight, and it is great to get amongst all these inspiring and interesting producers and suppliers. It never ceases to inspire. These are just some of the highlights we enjoyed - 🐮 The Yorkshire Kitchen Dessert Butters : Oh yes, you read that correctly. Think Brandy butter, and beyond. As well as that Christmas classic, they do salted caramel butter, orange butter and coffee butter - But our stand out favorite was the cinnamon butter which was delicious straight off a spoon! Jamie Lee Stokes , the owner, is on first name terms with his cows, and they are given lots of TLC which produces a stunning butter base for these spreads. Highly recommended! https://lnkd.in/e8uncfmY 🍶 Root2Ginger : Lovely catch up with Deanne - She is the real deal, with her variety of ginger and tumeric drinks all being organic, and coldpressed by hand. The new orange one is amazing - strong flavour, with that familiar ginger kick. Thanks for the complimentary bottle - now part of the daily morning routine! 🧀 Yorkshire Dama Cheese : Wow, this was such an incredibly moving, and fascinating company. Razan Alsous, the founder, came to Yorkshire from Syria with her young family after almost losing everything. Despite having a pharmacy degree and a scientific background her lack of references and work history in the UK made it extremely difficult to find a role. Living in Yorkshire, with all its incredible produce, she could not help being inspired to eventually try her hand at something special and unique that married the best of Yorkshire with her skills. She decided to start making Syrian cheese, which is a characteristic squeaky semi-hard cheese. And so began the journey - with an idea and a start-up loan of just £2500 from the Local Enterprise Agency. After just four months of production, they won the WORLD CHEESE AWARD Bronze Prize 2014/15, highlighting the true quality of cheese. 💐 Flowers galore! Everywhere you looked there were vibrant, beautiful plants in all sorts of incredible colors and varieties. It was almost impossible not to want to buy them! And finally ... 📺 Chris Bavin from Escape to the Country was on stage - lovely to see him live! 💫 Overall a brilliant show again this year - Cannot wait for 2025. ❓ Did you go this weekend? What was your favorite part? Share in the comments. #energy #energydrink #natural #naturalenergy #naturalhigh #smallbatch #creative #producer #smallproducer #natural #BBCGoodFoodShow #GoodFoodShow #FoodieEvent #CulinaryDelights #GourmetExperience #CookingInspiration #FoodLoversUnite #KitchenCreativity #TastyTreats #ChefShowcase

  • 🍓 IT'S NEARLY STRAWBERRY SEASON! 🍓 Cold and wet weather, coupled with the worst light levels in years, means the British strawberry season will arrive later this season according to British Berry Growers in a recent article published in The Grocer. But it is not all bad news, as the growers’ group has said that despite this the slow growth has built stronger plants that have the energy to support larger and more flavoursome fruits. As the flowering and ripening of the fruit will occur more gradually due to the weather this creates larger and juicier strawberries. Hoorah! The first big harvest of the season is forecast for the end of May.  Sadly though, due to the introduction of new trade barriers, exports of British Strawberries have dropped by 79% since Brexit. Berry shipments to EU ports are now at a greater risk of delays that could affect product quality, which had meant more customers on the continent preferring to import from elsewhere, the group said. Here at All In The Bottle, we are big supporters of British suppliers, and champion home grown produce in all the work we do. This news means we need to make even more efforts to buy local, buy British this summer. Why not check out your local farm stores, and food markets this weekend and support our farmers ... Plus you get to enjoy a rather tasty treat!
