Running a limited company comes with plenty of responsibilities, and keeping on top of key deadlines is critical for staying compliant—and avoiding penalties. Here are the key dates every business owner should know: 🔹 Company Accounts Filing Deadline Submit your annual accounts to Companies House within 9 months of your financial year-end. Late submissions = penalties! 🔹 Corporation Tax Payment Deadline Corporation tax is due 9 months and 1 day after your accounting period ends. Avoid unnecessary interest charges by planning ahead. 🔹 Self-Assessment Deadline Company directors often need to file a Self-Assessment Tax Return by 31st January. 🔹 VAT Returns (if applicable) VAT-registered businesses must file quarterly VAT returns. Know your specific dates to stay on track. 🔹 Confirmation Statement File your confirmation statement with Companies House annually to confirm your company’s details. 💡 Pro Tip: Avoid the stress of deadlines by setting reminders—or better yet, let Agent Armour manage them for you. We’ll ensure you stay compliant while you focus on growing your business. Have questions or need support? We're asking this again... 😅 As amazon has done it again and not added a slip... Could we ask which of our lovely clients, please, as to who's sent us a dining out voucher, please. So that we can thank you too! ❤️😊
To our wonderful client whom sent us a 'The Dining Out' gift card from Amazon, thank you very much for the amazing gift. 😍❤️ We'd like to have thanked you in person (or directly) but Amazon didn't include a packing slip or details...! 🤦🏼♂️

🤔 What is "Non-Dom" Status in the UK? Let's Clear Up the Jargon! You might have heard the term "Non-Dom" or "Non-Domiciled" status, but what does it actually mean? Here’s a quick FAQ to break it down: 🔍 What is Non-Dom Status? "Non-Dom" stands for "Non-Domiciled" and refers to a special tax status in the UK. It applies to individuals who live in the UK but have their permanent home ("domicile") in another country. Essentially, it's a way of saying your long-term home is abroad, even if you currently reside in the UK. 🌍 How Does It Affect Taxation? If you have Non-Dom status, you can choose to pay tax on your UK income but not on foreign income, unless you bring that money into the UK. This is called the "Remittance Basis." You can also choose to pay tax on a worldwide basis, but most Non-Doms use the remittance approach to minimise their tax bill. 💼 Who Can Qualify? You could qualify for Non-Dom status if: ➡️ You were born in another country and consider that your permanent home ➡️ You have a different domicile of origin (e.g., your father was domiciled abroad) ➡️ You have lived in the UK for a period but still have strong connections to another country where you intend to return 🕰️ How Long Can You Keep Non-Dom Status? The rules change if you've been in the UK for 15 of the past 20 years. At that point, you're considered a "deemed domiciled" resident and will be taxed on your worldwide income and gains, just like any other UK resident. 💸 Are There Any Costs? Yes, there is a charge known as the "Remittance Basis Charge" if you choose to claim the remittance basis and have been a resident for 7 out of the last 9 years (£30,000), or for 12 out of the last 14 years (£60,000). *Although these rules are extremely likely to change (as they have over recent years) and as such we do strongly advise speaking with your local tax advisory firm to get the latest and tailored advice. Correct as of posting on 17th December 2024. #TaxAdvice #NonDom #UKTax #TaxJargon #AgentArmour #Accounting #FinanceTips
